Swim meet went really well for the most part. This was DD11's first big meet and she kept spinning between really nervous/I don't want to do this/having a blast! She did well though. DD12 was last in 500yd free, but didn't care. One of her ISPE goals is to compete in a 500 yd free event and she did it - that is all that counts. :teeth: She also got a "B" time (good) in her 50 yd backstroke event (another ISPE goal) so she was really excited about that too.

I drank gallons of water (literally!) since it was so wonderfully hot in the desert. Eating wise I did better than I had thought I would. For breakfasts I had a raisin bagel, apple, and LF yogurt. For snacks I ate granola bars and/or almonds. I didn't do so good with lunches. Friday was BK, but I only ate two chicken fries (too stressed out about the @#$$% traffic and making it to the pool on time). Saturday lunch was late (2'ish, after the morning swim session). We went to an excellent Mexican place where I ate too many chips and guacamole and yummy fajitas. I also enjoyed a couple of margaritas (needed these after spending all morning keeping DD11 from falling apart!) Then we went and saw "Happy Feet" on the IMAX screen - very funny! After the big lunch and popcorn at the movies, I wasn't hungry for dinner and just skipped it. So I guess that compensated a little. Sunday lunch was late again - chinese food on the road. I ate about 1c orange chicken, 2/3c chow mein, and 4 cream cheese wontons :sad2: . I skipped dinner again - this time because I have finally fallen victim to the kids cold crud.

I felt the cold coming on last week. There were a couple of days that I just could not get warm, and several times I knew my throat was sore, but I did not have time to be sick. We have a low key week this weke and so I guess my body decided it was ok to be sick now. This has happened before too. :confused3 I'm crazy busy, then when things slow down a bit, I get sick ...

Off to make some chicken noodle soup now ...

:grouphug: Anna,

I hope that you are feeling better soon. :goodvibes Glad to hear that the swim meets went well! :thumbsup2

Have a good Tuesday! :sunny:

I am feeling better today. The kids are still coughing, but otherwise are definitely feeling better too. I had planned on taking the kids to DL today, but have decided not to now. I just don't want to risk everyone/anyone getting sick again. Instead I think we will pull out the Christmas stuff  .

I haven't exercised (no news there). I have been drinking water though. I haven't eaten very much (not hungry), but have snacked on dumb stuff like ritz bits.

I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving day and a relaxing weekend!

Anna

Anna...nice to see you feeling better! And probably a good idea to quarantine the troops to ensure that a proper Turkey Day celebration can take place ;)

Hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday tomorrow!!!

Anna ~
Have a great, healthy, happy Thanksgiving!!

(we need a turkey smilie!!)

My you are busy! I guess it's no surprise you got the cold, but I'm glad you're feeling better. Hopefully it was shortlived.

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and maybe, just maybe enjoy a little bit of relaxing time??? ;)

Got the house picked up and then pulled out all the christmas boxes  . Got about 1/2 of the christmas stuff up inside and should finish the rest of it tomorrow morning. DH will then spend the rest of the weekend putting lights, etc up outside. The kids and I are clearly still a little under the weather as we pooped out decorating around 5. DH has a late night dinner meeting (int'l client so need for them to get home for Turkey day.) so the kids and I ordered pizza for dinner. :sad2: I had a salad too, but it has been a long time since I have had such greasy food. It definitely did not agree with my system :sad2: . Eating for the rest of the day was not great either. Gotta get back on track!

B- rice krispie treat  (I don't know why? :confused3 )
l - hot dog, 3/4c LF baked beans, 1/2 banana
d - 3 big slices hawaiian pizza, 3c salad w/ feta, sundried tomatoes, kalmata olives, red & green peppers, 1T dressing, 24 oz skim milk
water - 46 oz

Scott, Marie, CJK - thanks for stopping in. It was nice to have a day at home. The rest of the weekend should be pretty low key too with misc stuff on Friday and Sunday. We actually have NOTHING scheduled on Saturday.

Hi Anna,

Get well :wizard: coming your family's way today..... That's great that you were able to get some of your Christmas stuff up... That's on our agenda for this evening.

Happy Thanksgiving! :goodvibes

We went to DH's Aunt & Uncle's. I was very good with most of the appetizers sticking with veggies (no dip) and just a couple of shrimp, but then I discovered the artichoke dip :sad2: . I definitely ate too much of that. At dinner I only had 1 small serving each of turkey, yams, mashed potatoes, green bean stuff, 1 roll, and I passed on dessert entirely. Not too bad considering. Yesterday would have been pretty good WISH wise except for the drinks - 2 cranberry & rum, 5-7 glasses white wine  the glass was small, but it was refilled way too many times. On the other hand, it did make spending hours with my inlaws much more pleasant. :teeth: .

I normally make another turkey dinner just for us sometime over the weekend with my mom's stuffing and side dishes, so we have leftovers. I am not doing that this year though. I am the one that ends up eating too much. DH is ok with it.

The scale has been waivering between 163 and 164.5 all week. I really want to see the numbers headed down again.

Need to go finish getting the last of the Christmas stuff up. I had planned on doing it last night, but after the wine at dinner .... just went to sleep instead.

Congrats on resisting the desserts! That was my downfall, but I did behave and only have little pieces of everything. It's good that you are maintaining. It is really hard to lose during the holidays, and I think as long as you aren't gaining, you should be happy! At least that is what I tell myself to keep me from getting too frustrated... :confused3

Hope you get to feeling better soon. My mom had the creeping crud yesterday, I hope she didn't spread too many germs my way!

A woman's got to do what a woman's got to do! :rotfl: :drinking:

I'm glad that you had a nice Thanksgiving.... way to go on saying no to the desserts! :thumbsup2 That was a feat that I could not manage on Turkey Day....

I hope you have a great weekend, Anna! :goodvibes

well done on resisting that dessert!!
Hope you are all recovered now too......
not just from the virus...but also the wine ;)
Have a great weekend

Anna great job on Thanksgiving! I hope you and the girls are feeling better too. I agree with Amy M., the holidays are tough, maintaining is quite an achievement. Your surviving the inlaws via wine is a good tip! I hope the rest of this holiday weekend is a good one for you!

Hope ya'll are feeling better!
Take it easy!

Thanks for all your kinds words. Two of the three kids are now on antibiotics and everyone seems to be on the road to recovery. I'm also feeling much better (although recovery from the wine did make Black Friday shopping a bit interesting :rotfl2: ).

I have not been overeating, but I also have definitely not be "healthy" eating. :sad2: Starting today though, I am getting back on track (or at least as on track as possible with the holiday events).

In non-WISH news, we officially cancelled our 14day transatlantic cruise yesterday. DH is definitely going to have to attend a conference the last week of May. I thought about taking the trip with just DD3, but in the end, I really want to share the trip with DH. The March trip should be ok though. I'm making final payment on that trip next week! :Pinkbounc

:grouphug: Anna,

I hope everyone starts feeling better soon... Sending some get well :wizard: your way today. :goodvibes

I'm sorry to hear that you had to cancel your cruise. :( That's great that you will still be able to go on the trip in March though. :thumbsup2

Hope you have a great week! :sunny:

Hi Anna, glad everyone is slowly but surely recovering. I am sorry about the cruise cancellation, I know you have mentioned that it was likely but it must have still been a bummer. But I agree with Tracy, thats great that March is still on! You will get back on track with your food, given what you have been going through, its not wonder things have been unsettled and hectic. Thats what tomorrow is for, a new day! Hang in there and hope you all feel 200% very soon!

Hi Anna glad you are all starting to recover :)
That is such a shame you cant do the 14 day cruise, i was looking forward to hearing all about it!!
You can take me instead of DH if you like!! :)
