My Jan'11 Birthday TR…A day of sickness, a night of rain, and a week of fun and food.

For lunch today, we ate at 50’s Prime Time Café. It had been awhile since we had eaten here. I’m glad we decided to eat here again, so much so, that I made another ADR here for my next trip.

I love pink flamingos, even though this one was more orange than pink.

This was taken through the window at 50’s Prime Time Café. I like how the picture has so many layers in it. Everything from the grass right in front the window, all the way to the Great Movie Ride.

I had Uncle Eric’s Char-Grilled Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich was pretty good. I had to ask for extra barbecue sauce, though. When they first brought it out, it was way too dry.

For desert I had Dad’s Sundae. My goodness, this thing was huge and had all kinds of goodies on top of it. The brownie was very moist and had a very good flavor to it. I had never had caramel popcorn on my ice cream before, so that was different. Still good though.

This sundae should be the meal itself. This is what was remaining after I couldn’t eat anymore.

Hi and it sounds like you had a very Happy Birthday. It will always be MGM to me too. Mom and I are going on our first girls only trip. Too bad neither of us has any birthday's to celebrate so we could get some first class birthday magic too. Is it okay to still celebrate your birthday even if it's six months later for Mom and 5 months later for me??? Thanks for the trip report. I've enjoyed traveling along with you.

How did I miss this update? I love DHS, I never knew it as MGM, but I do hear that alot.

I love 50's Prime Time! We had a calmer waitress which was nice, it gave us time to really take eveything in and watch fun things happen to others!

I say that if you want to celebrate your birthday while you are there, go for it. Who's gonna stop you anyway. Enjoy your girls only trip. I sure did.

For my trip in October, I decided to switch my lunch back to 50's Prime Time. I originally had Sci-Fi. As much as I love the atmosphere there, I love the food at Prime Time better.

After we finished lunch, we made our way over to The Backlot Tour. I think we must have taken the long way around. My pictures seem out of order to me, but maybe we just roamed for awhile.

We made our way past The Great Movie Ride and then through Pixar Place. I love the monkeys. When I was little I would try to play with them, but could never get more than a few to hang together.

When we walked up to The Backlot Tour this was the view we had.

We only had to wait until everyone filed in, before the show started.

I like the show, but it’s not the same when they don’t have any “actors” in it. I know it was because of the weather, but it still kinda sucked.

It was now time for us to walk through the prop shop. This is my favorite part. I love seeing all the different props, even though I don’t know where most of them are from.

I think I have this same picture from every trip. I must really like this subway train. We now made our way to the tram portion of our tour.

I really like how this one came out. I have this habit of putting everything in the center of my picture. I have been trying to break myself of this. In the book I am reading, it tells me to remember the rule of thirds. Hopefully that will stick when we go back in Sept/Oct.

There’s my man again.

This is another picture I have from every trip. I think I take it because it the boat from Casanova. So that means, Heath Ledger sat in that boat at some point. And I have always like him.

Look it’s Herbie.

Can you imagine what was discussed in this plane? What decisions were made while flying across country? Or maybe they just slept the whole way.

A sneak peek on our next stop…Catastrophe Canyon.

Oh no, the truck’s on fire, what are we gonna do now?

No one told me this was a water ride.

Wait is this the Jungle Cruise? Is this the 8th Wonder of the World?

My nanny decided it was time for a nap.

It was now time for some Pirates. As you all know I love me some Pirates.

Unfortunately, none of them were Johnny Depp.

I never knew this was painted on here. Can you see this in the movie? Maybe I just wasn’t paying enough attention.

Hey! Hey you!

Next up was MuppetsVision 3D. I love the Muppets, I used to watch them when I was little. The gags here are the best.

One of my favorites is a net full of jello. Get it?

Here I am wearing my stylish 3D glasses.

The show was good as usual, but some of the effects were not timed correctly. The “holes” in the wall were appearing before the noise. There were a few others, but I can’t remember them. Sorry.

Next up we went to Toy Story Mania. I only took a few pictures in the queue. We went through the FP line and it was a quick trip in and out.

We were pretty far back, so the pictures aren’t the best. I enjoyed the parade, but I think it would have been better if I was closer. I will try to get a better spot on my next trip.

Every picture I took of Heimlich has his eyes closed. He is my favorite bug. “From up here, you all look like ants.”

I just recently watched Ratatouille. It was a very cute movie.

Up is one my new favorites. Even though the beginning of the movie made me cry. Once you get past that, it is a really good movie.

Look, it’s the side of Woody. He would never look my way.

To Infinity and Beyond!

It was time for some more PhotoPass picture taking. The photographer here was new. He told me to try all different poses.

This is one of my favorites pictures of myself. Normally, I don’t care for pictures of me, but I love this one. So you get to see it in many different forms.

This last one, was one of his ideas. I have transition lenses and I think he thought I was wearing sunglasses. He suggested I take them off for this picture. I don’t really like the way I look without my glasses. What do ya’ll think?

We now made our way down Hollywood Blvd. We had to go get our other jackets out of the locker. It was getting late and it would soon be time to line up for Fantasmic.

I love the look of this store. Actually, all of Hollywood Blvd. It seems like a very elegant place to be.

We decided to head on over to Sunset Blvd to see how the line for Fantasmic was shaping up.

Unfortunately, the line was almost all the way back to Hollywood Blvd. It was only 4:30pm. The show wasn’t for another 2 hours. I doubted we would even get into that show. I wasn’t going to wait that long, in the cold. So we decided to nix Fantasmic. I know, I know. How dare I. But I will try once again on the next trip. We’ll see how that goes.

As we were trying to figure out what to do next, we saw the Citizens of Hollywood. They were having a contest to see who was the funniest.

They were all quite funny. I love Vladimir Pooey, though. He may be my favorite.

My nanny stood on the bench to see better. I told her, that you could tell she had been to parades before. You stand on whatever is available at the parade, so you can see.

This man here could do some splits.

She was the lone woman in the show, and I think she stole it. After she was declared the winner, we decided to go see the Little Mermaid show. That was the last thing on our list for MGM.

It’s Mickey!

One last picture of me before we leave.

I want to buy the picture, not the frame. I love this picture of Walt Disney. It’s just so simple.

Any guesses on where we went for dinner?

Maybe now?

Yes, we went to the Grand Floridian. We decided to go eat at Gasprilla’s. My mom love the Grand Floridian and wanted my nanny to see it. So I did a quick search on my phone and saw that there were enough options for us to have dinner there.

I had the Pepperoni Flatbread. Which is just a fancy name for pizza. It was very good. Much better than the pizza you get in the parks. Don’t get me wrong I still like the pizza in the parks, but this was much better.

As we were eating, you could see that The Magic, The Memories, and You was being shown. Which meant only one thing. Wishes would be starting soon. I told my mom and nanny to hurry. I wanted to be on the monorail, during the fireworks. Now I will admit these next pictures are not the best, but they show you how much we could actually see from the monorail.

We got off at the TTC, just to board another monorail to Epcot.

We wanted to make sure my nanny got the chance to ride the monorail at least once this trip. What better than a resort loop and then one through Epcot.

These were my attempt at taking picture of Epcot at night, from the monorail. Not so great for storytelling purposes, but I like the way the look.

And if you really know Epcot, you should be able to tell what they each were supposed to be a picture of.

After our roundtrip on the monorail, we hiked it all the way to the Pop bus stop. Tomorrow is our last day. Boo hoo.

It was another early morning for us. We had breakfast at Crystal Palace at 8:05 am this morning. I just love walking down an empty Main Street.

Walking down Main Street was a little bittersweet this morning. It was our last day. I was excited for the day ahead of us, but sad that we would be leaving the following morning. Later on this day, I started planning my Sept/Oct trip, so leaving was too bad.

I checked us in and then we waited a few minutes before they led us to our table. We sat on the opposite side this time. Today we were closer to the Adventureland bridge, that was blocked off.

First to visit our table was Winnie the Pooh. He has always been my favorite and the reason why I could eat at Crystal Palace every morning. If everyone else would let me. LOL.

My nanny asked if we could all wear our Saints shirts one day. We did hear a lot of “Who Dats.”

Eeyore was next at our table. He was sad as usual.

Here was my birthday cupcake. This little cupcakes are okay, but I was getting a little tired of them.

Piglet and Tigger came around before we finished our breakfast. We made our way out of Crystal Palace and then I saw the PhotoPass photographers. You all know where I went next.

As we made our way to Tomorrowland we stopped to take some PhotoPass pictures.

These were the only ones my mom and nanny were interested in this morning. I, on the other hand, stopped at every one between Main Street and Tomorrowland.

I love pictures of Cinderella Castle from this spot.

I loved that I could change my pictures to black and white. I like the way a lot of them look in black and white better than in color.

I was about to fly away!

These streamers were not here when we passed by later on in the day. I don’t know where they came from, but they were cleaned up pretty quickly.

They were handing out stickers in Tomorrowland. So I took one, I still have that sticker on my old camera case.

My mom and I rode Buzz Lightyear while my nanny rode Stitch.

My score:

My mom’s score:

Expect to see many pictures of scores in the next trip report. Buzz Lightyear is one of my dad’s favorite rides. So I will be riding it many, many times.

My nanny decided she want to ride Space Mountain, and since the wait wasn’t too long I told her to go now.

While we were waiting for her, I saw Stitch roaming around by himself. It felt kinda funny to be the only person waiting to see him. But Tomorrowland was still pretty empty this morning.

Not long after see Stitch, I spot Dale. There were a few people ahead of me in line to see Dale, but I still waited.

After some character meeting it was time for the Speedway. I was just glad my sister wasn’t here to give me whiplash on this ride again.

Here is my mom in the car in front of me. I don’t even know where my nanny was on this ride.

And here I am waiting to get out of the car, once around was enough for me. I’m pretty sure those people in line behind me, were ready for there turn.

After riding the Speedway, we made our way over to the trail between Tomorrowland and Toon Town.

We could hear the train coming so we waited for it to pass, so I could get this picture.

After walking through, I had to get one last picture in front of the Toon Town sign.

Tigger was bouncing his way over to his meet and greet spot.

Our next ride was Haunted Mansion. Yes, we walked all the way from Tomorrowland, through Toon Town and Fantasyland, just to go on Haunted Mansion. Told you we took the long way.

While I do enjoy Haunted Mansion, parts of it still kinda creep me out. But I don’t care for anything scary to begin with.

My nanny decided she wanted to go on Big Thunder next.

My mom sat in one of the rocking chairs along the Rivers of America. I visited the smoking section right across from Big Thunder. I ran into rjmum again, while waiting for my nanny. It was nice to chat for a few minutes.

We decided to go to Peco’s Bills for lunch. I ordered the taco salad, but all I eat in it is the meat and cheese. So nothing too interesting. I also had a chocolate cake.

After lunch, we made our way over to the Jack Sparrow show. We all now that I love Jack, so I took way too many pictures. I will spare you all and only show you one.

We rode Pirates of The Caribbean next.

As we were coming up on the hat pirate, I was telling my mom that he didn’t have all those hats on the other day. She had no clue what I was talking about. I had to explain it to her after the ride.

I have to check and see if they still have this towel when I go back in 12 days. My nanny really like it.

We started to make our way to Main Street.

We passed my favorite place on the way to Main Street.

I stopped at the first PhotoPass photographer I saw on Main Street.

I went a little crazy with the borders, as you can tell.

The photographer asked me if I wanted to take a special picture. He told me to put my hands together and look at them. After taking the first picture, he asked me to look at him for the next picture. He then asked me if I felt or saw Tinkerbell when she landed on my hand for that split second.

My mom and nanny stopped to get an ice cream and I made a stop at the smoking section across from the Plaza. I think that is a great place to sit and watch. There is a great view of Cinderella Castle, Main Street and lot of people watching.

My nanny wanted to get her haircut at the Barber Shop, so off we went.

After a few minutes, the Barber Shop was getting kinda of full, so I sat outside to take pictures.

This bird played with me the whole time we were there. Every time I snapped a picture, he had already moved. It took a good 30 snaps before I got him in frame.
