Your problem was the same as mine. Your cable comes in fine all day but your internet connections only works at certain times. I am not an expert, but an electrician told me it is a frequency problem. In layman's terms he told me I have too many cables split from the main line coming into the house. My house was built in the early 90s before internet, so they did not care as long as the tv worked. Also, many more houses have cable tv and cable internet sucking cable frequency at certain times. I was told the weather has something to do with it as well. The little light blinking steadily on your modem indicates that. I solved the problem by 1) Putting my cable modem on a seperate line (no tvs sharing) and 2) going to Radio Shake and buying a cable amp. The main wire goes into the amp and the signal is boosted out the 4 wires that lead to tvs on each floor and the 4th to my cable modem. I have not have a problem since. Try that before you
