My Ink Isn't Drying On My Vellum

I bought vellum that says it is for both laser and ink jet. But, it is not drying. It's smearing big time. Any suggestions?

Is it smearing as it goes through the printer or after? If after, be extra careful and let it dry for a long time. Also, make sure you have the options on your printer set correctly for vellum, try not as heavy ink application.

Or, could you print on regular paper and then cover it with the vellum for a softer look?

It is after and vellum isn't one of my choices. If I do too light it doesn't show up at all.

I don't have a vellum option but I do have 'transparancies' and that does work better. hth

Use the transparency setting on your printer. Also, make sure that your vellum can be printed on either side. Some vellum have a "preferred side for printing.."
