Okay so the last time I went to AK, I went to Rafiki's Planet Watch. I have to say that I was dissapointed because of the lack of things to do. So recently, I have been thinking about how it could be improved and I think that I have a good idea. The one thing that the planet watch is missing is a good attraction. Not really a ride, but something that would get people back there. So here is my idea. Why not move Circle of Life from the Land at Epcot back to Rafiki's Plannet Watch? I just think that it would fit better there because they both promote the message to presserve and protect the enviornment. I also think that a display of rare and indangered animals would also help promote the conservation message.

is this the same place as the vet and nutritionist?( not sure about the name, it used to be conservation station? I think?)

while i enjoyed the time i spent there i do think it could use something to draw more people. it reminded me of a science museum exhibit ( except for the nutritionist i talked to and if the vet was working)

this would be a major undertaking but how about something about the rain forest. since i don't think it really seems to be part of africa or asia, it could be south america and have a rain forest jungle canopy walk with animals, insects indigenous to that area. that would fit the conservation theme and be interesting. kind of like the old boardwalk aviary place in discovery island, swinging walkways, make it look like you are 100 ft in the air...they did such a great job with the other animal trails i'd love to see something like that ( as long as any giant spiders didn't actually touch me :thumbsup2 )

Rafiki's Planet Watch is a good idea but a wasted effort. It is just a glorified petting zoo IMHO. Looking in on the vet is interesting....when a vet is there with an animal! Other than that, pet a goat and your are done. Maybe with the train ride out to it, folks expect more. Some retooling is needed, for sure.
