My husband lost his job today.

So sorry to hear that Addicted!

What is his profession? You never know where a good lead could come from. There are lots of local folks that post here.

I hope everything works out.... just the way it is suppose to!!

Sorry to hear that. I hope that somehow it ends up being a blessing in disguise and that good things come from this. {{{Hugs}}}

Hugs to you!

Post a little about what type of job he'd like to look for - maybe we can think of some leads for him.

Well they say misery likes company - definitely not true in this circumstance, however, the same thing happend to my hubby today too. Knocks the wind right out of you doesn't it? I'll keep you and your hubby in my thoughts and prayers and be watching to see the happy day when he lands a great job. (Hope I can look for the same thing along the way.)

Take care and know you aren't alone.

Sorry to hear about your husbands job loss. I am a firm believe that things happen for a reason, I just hope the reason your husband lost his job makes itself apparent to you soon. Positive thoughts and pixie dust are on the way.

Man, that is rough. I lost mine suddenly 6 months ago and was just offered a new one yesterday. I think it's going to turn out to be a wonderful thing; I think that's usually the way it is when someone loses a job. Keep positive and an open mind. A friend of an online friend led me to a temporary job, which led me to the permanent job. There are golden opportunities everywhere; you just have to find them. (Oh and living the pauper life in the meantime can really be a challenge and an art form... you might amaze yourself with how creative you can be when trying to save money). Best wishes.

As others suggested, post his employment and part of the country. There are alot of folks on here with good tips.My husband just went back to work after 7months laid off. He has never been out of work in his life. But now he is a lead hvac/r tech for the Philadelphia Zoo. No more stressing over construction rates, or work slow downs when it is neither hot or cold out. And we get alot of perks. If he had stayed where he was he would have been one of the ones to ride out the business going under. This would have meant cuts in hours, cuts in pay, and pay checks that you couldn't cash for a day or two if you were lucky. We had a rough couple of months, but we are better off. As the queen of worriers, I can so understand.

Give him a hug for me. I was layed off from a nursing job, the center has since closed, in Jan. 97. It was the best thing that ever happened. I found a job I really enjoy and have learned a lot in. I wish you both all the best.

I feel so bad for you and your husband. {{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}

My best wishes for him, and you both. Hoping he is working real soon and this will turn out for the positive, it so often does. :sunny:

This is always such sad news.

As others have said, I hope that this leads to something much better in the near future.

{{{HUGS}}} sweetie. I'm sorry to hear this. I hope your husband finds an even better job very soon.

I'm so sorry. I hope everything works out okay and that he finds another job quickly.

God Bless.. I hope things work out for the best for your family.

sorry to hear this-thinking good thoughts for you and your DH

Positive thoughts coming your family's way, addicted. You sound like you have a positive attitude, though, which is essential in today's job market.

What type of work does your DH do, addicted? I can keep my eye out for anything in this area that sounds good.
