My husband left me....

I completely cleaned out the closet!!
That was one of the first things I did. I am now using the ENTIRE closet!

You go girl!!! Just think of a good explanation for when he comes home. I had to explain off the shoe invasion while he was gone and just told him that if he expected me to send his soldiers shoe box gifts, I had to buy the shoes the boxes came in...hahahaha

Gee, I loved the tips I received for keeping busy while DH is away. BUT most of you do not know that I live with "Phelix Unger" (the neat fanatic from The Odd Couple!) That's why I kidded around about messing up his shirts in his closet because if I really did that, he'd probably suffer a stroke!

Anyway, :( is turning into  because while he's away, he's been to a play & a concert & eating at MY fave Los Angeles restaurants & I'm stuck home with the kids because I'm having van problems so I can't even go out!  Not to mention that we had a doosey of a storm last night! I had to try to be brave for my kids but my knees were knocking! :o

One of my girlfriends came over to "help" me put my 2 y/o on the school bus yesterday (since she knew it was going to be horrible for me) & then she took me out to breakfast & we hit Bath & Body Works. At least I got to do some "revenge" shopping yesterday but I'll be homebound the next couple days.

Geez I thought your husband actually left you. Actually if you guys are that upset about 4 days it's probably good that he went without you. That much dependence on one person isn't good for anyone over the age of 16. Don't mean to bring it down but gosh:rolleyes: Heck I love it when DH goes away for a few days!

I'm married 23yrs. and I can count the times on one hand that my dh went away without me. Now, I'm not talking about something serious like the military or something like that, but I would LOVE to be alone for a few days.

Someone asked why I didn't go with my DH on his trip. This is why:

1.) Kids are already in school (started on the 24th)

2.) My in-laws are evil

3.) Hate to fly

4.) Too expensive

and not necessarily in that order!

mep319 ~ you are probably right that we shouldn't be that dependant on each other, but we are one of those couples where the sun rises & sets on each other. Don't know how to change that nor do I think I'd want too. He misses me as much as I miss him. He cried more than me when we were saying goodbye to each other & he calls me several times a day. He's only been gone 2 days but yet it feels like I haven't seen him in a month!

We have friends that always say they wished their relationship was just like ours. Although, look at the torture we're going through right now!

Well, I don't think my DH and I would have the reaction that you and your DH did to being separated for 4 days. That doesn't mean I wouldn't pout and be sad about it. I think we've spent a couple of one-nighters apart since our wedding, but that's it. It's not fun sleeping in bed without him.

Some "solo" time can be good for you, though. My DH spends at least one day/evening a week out with his buddies and it's nice to be alone.

Everyone has different relationships, though. Some couples only see each other on weekends, some have never spent a night apart. What would suck is if two people married who had very different notions about that sort of thing. I wouldn't like it if my DH could just go off for 4 days without sharing in some of the pouting I would be doing. If I'd married a different sort of man, he may feel I was being clingy.

Mishetta........ Do you live in the Utica Community Schools area? DS6 just started school at Roberts Elementary on the 24th. Anyway, I think it's wonderful that you miss each other that much.
Personally, if DW and I got along as well as it sounds you and your DH do, I'd PROBABLY miss her too. As it is, I love it when one of two things happen...... DW goes to her parents for a week around Easter or I go away for a week in July. Mind you, this doesn't happen in the same year, but alternating ones.

Good Luck!

Dave

:wave2: Hey Beast Fan ~ yep, live in Utica Comm School District but my oldest DS attends a private school (in the UCS District) & my little guy (2 y/o) just started a special program with the MISD for his delays. Don't know where Roberts is....is that North UCS area? Anyway, I felt bad reading your post that you look forward to your DW leaving you for a week. Then again, who knows...maybe that's normal & my DH & I are the abnormal couple? Hmmmm......

One more night......and then there will be fireworks! :hyper: ::yes::
