We leave thursday for disney... Thursday....its like 2 days away. He says to me last night, could we change the days for Animal kingdom to the day for MGM??? I said SURE... if you wanna change dining reservations that I made 4 months ago with everything booked to the gills.:thumbsup2

You know, we were there a few weeks ago, and I had no problem changing things around when we got there. You may be surprised.

Last minute, we ended up with a breakfast at Chef Mickey's (which was booked solid), and a lunch at LeCellier. I was also able to change my 6:30 dinner reservation at Crystal Palace to a 4:00 walk-up (we skipped lunch that day and we were hungry) and we could have done Coral Reef for dinner one night but decided to snack around the F&W booths for dinner instead.

Check with the concierge when you get there. It may not be as bad as you think.

I can't imagine planning around dining. Surely that isn't the main reason to go to Disney. Although, I guess it is for some! Just not us!

oh its not my plan at all to go for dining. Im a planner. A major planner. I live to plan things out . If I dont, I feel massively off. I am not changing plans at all. I told him he was trying to be cruel to me. :lmao:

Well, I hope you have a great trip! And if your reservations get thrown off by life, I hope you are ok with that too! I am a planner, but I think a little bit less tense about the possibilities for spontaneous fun, or trouble with kids, etc.

Wow, your husband knows where you are going ahead of time? And he cares? and he expresses a preference?

Mine just gets up in the morning and asks where we are going today.

Sounds a little like mine. He has no opinion ahead of time because he reserves the right to complain about my choice after the fact. One of the many reasons I love him. :rotfl:

Guys just don't get it.:confused3

Last year for my DD 6th bday, I had dinner at CRT and BBB before that. Long story short, the CM who made our BBB appointment screwed up and didn't leave us enough time to get the makeover, pics taken and get back to MK in time. As I stood there freaking out my DH says "Calm down, we'll just go tomorrow." I calmly explained, through my gritted teeth, that I made this ressie 180 prior because you CRT is so hard to get, AND her hair and make up will no longer be on. To which he replies "What's the big deal??"

That's when I lost it.

Happy ending to the story though, a WONDERFUL CM (Maria) called over and explained the problem and they allowed us to walk in when we arrived:worship:

I also plan everything. I am the "Disney Nazi" to my family. Last trip, my sons did all the planning, and after a fabulous trip, I asked how they did it. Nothing. No planning. No ressies. No agenda. Seat of the pants vacation. And it was the best trip ever. Let your husband have his moment. If you planned everything else, whats the harm in his imput? It may work out, it may not, but you won't know until you try. Good Luck.
