July 17, 2007 My husband (32) Myself (29) and my 7 month old daughter went to animal kingdom. The experience was horrible!!! First off let me say the whole entire trip we dealt with extremely RUDE foreigners, they would walk into you, elbow you, run you over, spit on you from being so close while they were talking and never utter an "excuse me" or anything. So anyways back to my story, we had just gotten off the train ride and i was walking with the flow of people (trying to avoid being ran over by over anxious adults) holding my baby daughter and out of nowhere this 6 foot tall or larger i should say foreign man stopped dead in traffic and swung his body around 180 degrees with a HUGE camera hanging on his left shoulder and it swung and hit my daughter in the face so hard her head was jerked violently and made a loud "smack" noise. My daughter screamed bloody murder. This man had the nerve to look at me and my baby, knowing what he had done and turned around to walk away. He did not acknowledge what he had done, by this time i was MAD! My husband was consolling the baby while me and the one and only employee helped me tract this guy down with no luck. Meanwhile not one person came to see if the baby was ok, they all just walked by staring at my screaming baby. The manager came to us and said "what can i do for you?" WHAT THE HELL? I dont know, how about smack that guy for me??? Any ways she offered NO help, NO consoling, NOTHING except for an excuse for the guy, "well maybe he was scared and he didnt mean to do it", well no **** but i still have a hurt child and no one cares! Disney and its employees are a joke! Do not waste your money folks! Iam so sorry i did but me or my family will never return.

Are you serious?
Wait I'm confused. You expected an employee of a hotel/park to attack another stranger? In this country that's called assualt and battery and you get 5-10 years in jail for it. I'm sorry you ran into a major jack#$ss (foreign and domestic born) but they exsist every where. Yes I would have been beyound furious with the stranger but I how is this a cm's fault? Outside of making sure your daughter was physically fine, not sure what you wanted.

first off...is the baby ok?

I understand that you are upset. Anyone would be...that's your baby crying.

However

The CM manager did ask what she could do for you. Obviously she couldn't "smack" anyone. But she did ask. That is an offer of help. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience at AK but the Disney employees had nothing to do with it. Your husband was already consoling the baby and a CM did try to track the man down for you.

WDW is currently packed with tour groups. They are the famous Brazilians. Not exactly known for their acts of human kindness. It's hot and sticky and people have short tempers and some get rude. This applies to all guests and not just the tour groups.

Again, sorry you had a bad experience but blame the guest not Disney or the CM's

Geez...they let foreigners into Disney? How dare they?! Glad Americans are always so decent...

First off, I hope your child is okay if this happened, but I'm thinking may be we have ourselves a tr.......:rolleyes1

DID SHE NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION??? WHAT IS IT THAT YOU WANTED THEM TO DO??? Is it WDW's fault there are rude people in the world???? they are in every town and every country....
That said I feel for your bad time, and what do you mean people were spitting on you??? Were you following the same people around all day?

I hope your daughter is OK. This is why I think babies should be in strollers - we were at Disney in June, and with the crowds it's definitely nice to have the baby in a stroller. It's a little bit of defense against the crowds. Maybe he stopped short because the people in front of him stopped short?

I can't help but read this and think:
"One and only post and they tracked down the Disboards to post that"

I understand being upset that someone smacked your baby in the head--heck I'd be flipping and the person wouldnt have been able to walk away that quickly, but to blame the WDW CM's? ummm no. How's it their fault--what did you want them to do? Seriously you need to realize it can happen anywhere and it was the ignorant person who walked away KNOWING they hit your daughter that was at fault, nobody else.

Wow--that's terrible. I hope you took the baby to First Aid to be checked. (You did do this, didn't you?) And it was kind of the CM to ask what he could do for you. But really, what could he have done with the guest who did this? And what did you want him to do?
It sounds like an accident due to the crowds, which I'm sure you expected having done your research here on the DIS. (You did do some research, didn't you?)
The tone of your post is quite hostile towards foreigners, whom you classify as "RUDE." Sorry you had such a bad experience--mine has been mostly the opposite with foreigners and natives at WDW.

I agree with everyone above...but...

...I took my DD(4) to the MK yesterday and for the first time ever I had to pick her up on 3 separate occasions because adults (American adults, I'm assuming, they spoke perfect english) were either in such a hurry to get ahead that they either stepped on her or knocked her down. It was crazy!

On the other hand I also had another mom make room for her to sit on the monorail and a dad who helped out with the stroller.

:lmao: sad...and the fact the poster mentioned "Foreigners" so many times is even more pathetic. :sad2:

ok..Im going to stop posting here and feeding the hungry little critters.

After all, if it is a real post and the person came for a real reason (to warn) others then the least they could have done is be sensitive with their words towards...ummm what were they again---oh thats right..foreigners. :confused3

some people are jerks...that is life,..not much you can do about that. To me, bringing a baby to WDW is the same as bringing them to NYC. If it is done, it needs to be done with extreme caution.

If they don't return, that's one less family I have to step over on my vacation :lmao:

I know I won't be popular saying this but I think the majority of the people at WDW were rude. I could not belive it. We just got back on Tuesday and my two DD's could not believe the behavior of the people there. It was sad!
