Just back from our 1st trip to VB. It is such a beautiful resort. Like you are in the Caribbean except no customs issues! Perfect place to just get away from it all. Felt like it was a secret getaway. Also visited BCV on this trip. If you are looking to relax, VB rocks. BCV was great but you really feel like you are away from the hecticness (I made that word up) of WDW et al.

I'm glad you had such a nice time! We enjoy VB as well.

Bobbi :goodvibes

We have been to Vero Beach three times now and absolutely love it. We have stayed in lots of nice places all around the world but Vero Beach is by far our favourite family place of all. We have always stayed in the Inn but are planning on the Beach Cottage soon!

You'll absolutely love it! My wife and I have stayed in a beach cottage several times -- it is wonderful!!

Reading these posts makes me excited about my first trip home there June 11th now I can't wait to go.

We went over Spring Break this year and fell in love. DH wanted to go back this summer. So I gave in for another trip to Vero instead of WDW. It was fantastic to say the very least. Glad you had a great trip. :goodvibes

:ssst: :ssst: :ssst: Don't let the secret get out... ::yes::

Glad you had a good time!! We love the place! :thumbsup2

I've been wanting to go for quite some time. I'm glad to hear it's as nice as it looks in the pictures. I'm thinking about next April. Does anyone know how crowded it is just before Easter?

We were there recently the week before Easter and while I know there were a lot of people there, it felt incredibly uncrowded.

The breathtaking, absolutely huge expanse of beachfront is reserved exclusively for Disney's VB guests from what I understand, so there is lots of room to spread out since it is not open to the public.

The beach IS public....but the public may not access the resort from the beach. There is public access to the beach just a short distance away at wabasso and people often stroll along the Disney part of the beachfront.

I saw in the news that there was a man strolling around wearing only a hat.

Oh My Goodness! We were just there this past Sun thru Wed. We must have missed "naked hat man" :rotfl2: The resort is beautiful and very relaxing. A must do is having a drink in the late afternoon/early evening on the "porch" of the Green Cabin Room on the second floor. The view is breathtaking! Try the Pink Gator :drinking1 Yummy!!!

I can't wait! We leave Jun 24th for a 24 hour drive to check in Jun 25th! It will be our 1st visit, and we can't wait!

We were at VB last Mon/Tues .. and WOW! We spent a day on the beach and a day by the pool, DD9 did the SnorkelEars course and we never left the resort !

My family just fell in love with the place & I wish we'd booked longer (rented points from a UK DVC member). We stayed in an ocean view Inn room and it was just lovely :sunny:

Looking forward to returning next year .... (psst -can you still buy VB DVC points?)

Yes, you can. Our Guide told me at the beginning of April that to purchase VB or HH direct from Disney was $87 per point which included a $5 per point incentive. I don't know if that is still the current price or not, so you'd need to check with your guide.

The price is generally in the $65-70 range on VB resales though, so that's definitely worth looking into as well.
