Being a DVC member really does give a person something to look forward to in good times and in bad. Its is a "Happy Place" for sure. So what is your "Happy Place" as a DVC member?

Mine is the rope drop at Magic Kingdom. When that train pull up to the station I know I have arrived and everything is great.

To be honest, this is all pretty new for me, so I don't know that there is one particular place at Disney that makes me happy. I like it all. But I just love that I always have another trip (or in my particular case at the moment, 4 more trips) in the works! It may be hard to leave, but we always know we'll be back. DVC makes it possible : )

So what is your "Happy Place" as a DVC member?

Probably because it is so fresh in my mind (last week), but my current "happy place" as a new DVC owner is watching the mesmerizing patterns of changing lights late at night on the Mickey Funwheel of Death at California Adventure, while staying in a Villa at the Grand Californian (VGC):

For me, it's in stages. :rotfl: The first stage is when the Magical Express Bus is entering the property. When I see that big sign with all the characters on it I know I'm almost in my "happy place". Then as soon as I walk into the lobby of either the Boardwalk Villas or Saratoga Springs I know I've finally arrived. Because ALL of WDW is My Happy Place. And.....I'll be there in 3 more days!!!! :cool1:

One in the parks, one in a DVC resort. In the parks, my happy place is sitting on a bench next to Rose and Crown in the morning before WS opens. If you come in the International Gateway, you can turn towards UK and Canada. They don't rush you towards FW, so I always just sit on the bench there, listen to the great backround music (especially "Stranger on the Shore" by a clarinet player from England, I think his name is Belk), watching everyone rush by towards Soarin. In a DVC resort, my happy place is lying on a couch in the Solarium at BC/BCV in the morning, pretending I'm reading a book, but really listening to the excited voices of people planning their day of what's often their first visit.

When those doors at VWL slide open and you smell the lobby and hear the music......

That and the boat horns. Something about them I just love!!!!

Walking around is a bit hard for me, and I love to float/swim in the pools. My two favorite places are the lazy river at BCV...I love seeing the windmill, and I love the currents and the other one is the Springs pool at VWL. That whole area, the trees, the bubbles in the pool, the hot tub just refreshes my soul. It's been over a year since we've stayed at VWL, but it's the main destination for our December trip...I can hardly wait!

I have so many.....

Sitting on the airplane on our way to Orlando knowing we will arrive in 2 hours.

Going down the the esculator at MCO and seeing our driver waiting for us.

Driving into WDW and seeing Welcome Signs.

Arriving at our resort.

We love taking the boats from OKW and SSR over to DTD.

Walking into MK and checking my brick. I take a picture of it each trip. :goodvibes

That first glance at the castle as you walk in MK and head down Main Street. I especially love Main Street/Castle at night.

Sitting on the rocking chairs on the back porch of BWV. I love the view of Cresent lake and EPCOT.

My happy place is sitting at the end of Main Street, near the castle, late at night after the fireworks and watching the people leaving the park. I always like to do this on my last night at Disney. I also love sitting by the water at night either at the Boardwalk or BCV. There is nothing like the feeling of being anywhere at Disney!:goodvibes

I have two-when I see the castle and when I hear the music for the Spectromagic parade.

Its in my signature:). My happy place is on any pool slide!! I just love them:thumbsup2. And just sitting and relaxing at Stormalong Bay...

Now if you ask me about the Disney Cruise line, it would be Castaway Cay, ahhh, but thats a whole nother thread.:goodvibes

Late afternoon... Beach Club... lounge chair by the lake... shoes off... feet in the sand... looking at the BoardWalk...

I LOVE the first few twinkling notes of the Magic Kingdom welcome song..makes me teary every time.....you know a great day is about to begin when you hear it.
