What can I say? My grand son, who is 4, thinks I own WDW? Every time he comes to visit us at our home(in Florida, not far from the beach, he calls this the beach house) we pack up and head down to WDW. We drive to the gate of the resort we are staying at and guess what the gate guard says? "Welcome Home". Thanks to DVC and Walt Disney service(he got a signed picture from Minnie and Mickey w/ some balloons on his b-day) my grand son thinks we live at WDW. That's him in my profile picture at Kidani Village.
And our friends wonder why we love our DVC and WDW??

How precious. My DD (now almost 9) hated Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain. She would ride them, but they scared the living daylights out of her! :lmao:

My mom and dad give the kids money before our summer vacation, and when she got her money, my dad asked her what she was going to do with it. She said, "I'm going to buy Disney World and shut down Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain!" :rotfl:

Hey, you may be able to ride that wave and have him believe you were once a prince or a princess! princess: Seriously, though, that is so sweet. Thanks for sharing!

My niece was 4, almost 5, when I took her and my parents for a stay at VWL. We were most of the way through our trip and she had had daily phone calls to her parents and siblings (each niece/nephew got a trip with me on their own). She missed her cats at home, but not really the family.

At some point, we figured out that she thought we had MOVED to WDW and she now lived there with her grandparents and aunt. Never thought to explain to a 4 year old exactly what a vacation was. I was surprised that she was okay with the ida, that she didn't live with her parents or siblings anymore.

Children are so adorable.:rotfl: When my son was 4 as well, he thought we lived at BCV. This is our favourite resort so we go there at least once a year for 2 weeks. I guess for a 4 year old, 2 weeks is a long time. When I was packing to go home, he asked where we were going and when I said home, he had a very puzzled :confused:look on his face and asked why we were moving. We then explained to him that we did not live there and he seemed to understand until we came back again and he wanted to know why his room looked different. :lmao:

Nice story. On our next visit we will be bringing our daughter, her boyfriend and his 5 year old daughter with us. I can not wait to see WDW thru that child's eyes.

That's classic! Never let him forget it.

Great story. :)

When my daughter was 4, she announced that she was going to marry Brian (a little boy at the same daycare) and that they were going to move to Disneyworld. I made a sad face and said we would be so sad and miss her so much. The little charmer just looked at me and said that we could come and visit them. :rotfl:

MY 7 YEAR OLD WENT ON ROCK AND ROLL ROLL-A-COASTER. I TOLD HIM IT WOULD BE FAST. HE WANTED TO GO SAID HE HAD TO FACE HIS FEARS. ME AND MY WIFE LAUGHED THINKING HE GOT THE LINE FROM T.Y. WHEN WE GOT OFF I ASKED HIM HOW HE LIKED IT. HE SAID IT DIDN'T WORK LOL:lmao: TRUE STORY

My grandkids thought we actually lived at WDW when they were younger because they lived out of state and we actually saw them more often when going to WDW than at home.

When the oldest had just turned 5 she went on Test Track with me and my Daughter (her mother) and it was her first time on that ride. When we came off the ride and were walking in a crowd, she was chortling and yelled, "Just like Mommy!"

my 6 year old constantly tells me that he wants to move to WDW and work there when he grows up. we'll have very detailed conversations as to where he will live (BWV) and where he'll work......right now its Typhoon Lagoon but that changes often :goodvibes

When our grandson was 6 months old we started flying him from Boston to our house in Florida. We live about 80 miles north of Disney and are DVC members. By the time he was 4 years old he thought an airplane was a taxi from Boston to Florida.

That's a great story. Thanks for sharing. We never get tired of Disney and we never get tired of hearing "welcome home."

Thanks for Sharing Great Story, we know who his favorite Grandparents are. I can only imagine what his friends think when he tells them

It isn't? :confused3 Do planes go other places too? I'll have to check this out. :lmao:

Love it mikron!

Our twin gkids also think the lobby areas at any of the resorts are just for them--they immediately gravitate towards the televisions with the movies playing while we are at check-in. Both of them always ask the cast members/ bell service, and "how was your day"? DGS will inform me, Nana, this is where we are going to live, right? worth every penny of our DVC membership.
