I hear that line but mostly from people who don't take their kids ANYWHERE!
We ARE a happy family going to the Happiest Place on Earth. What could be better? :thumbsup2

We're going to be at the POP for the first time May 9 -16!

They can say it all they want to. Hope they stay away and let me have the parks to me.

We get that from family and friend. My kids are 11, 8 & 3. And they love going to Disney. I have offered to take them to Universal, beach resorts and even England. Nope....They want to go back to Disney every year. And so we go. Besides the fact I love Disney too. They are only young for so long and when they are older they may or may not want to go. So while they love it we go. :cool1:

Hello!! I'm new here and I just wanted to say I'M SO EXCITED WE'RE LEAVING IN 12 DAYS!!!!! April 29th - May 10th!! We've been planning this vacation to my favorite place in the world since our son was born almost five years ago. I can't believe it's almost time to go!! The last time we were there was our 1st anniversary and I had just found out I was pregnant.

I think it is great that you get to go every year! Our family certainly would if we could, hence our first trip to WDW - POP April 29-May 6. ! Have a great time!

I hear it too-they're just jealous or maybe they're not in touch with their inner child-lol. I've been 4 times without a child so I can't even say "it's for the kid!" I would go several times a year, if possible, and we live less than 30 minutes from DL, but there is no comparasion. I love both! If you'll notice by my signature, I've been able to accomplish my twice a year goal for a few years-mostly thanks to Free Dining!

I'm lucky in that my mom (a young 66) has gone with me everytime since 1998. The only gaps in our recent visits were from April 2000 to June 2002 (waited for DD to be old enough) and from June 2002 to Dec. 2003. My mom was undergoing breast cancer treatment. :sad2: (She's fully recovered now! :woohoo: ) She told her doctor that as soon as she was better, she was "going to Disney World!" and she (we) did. Now I get to take my DD6-she was almost 3 on her first trip-and see it in her eyes. We're lucky in that our school district is year round and she's off in Jan, May, and Sept. We can take advantage of the smaller crowds. :Pinkbounc My fav. time to go is Sept-and that was even before free dining! :cheer2:

We've had different family members join us on some trips, and our last trip (Jan. 06) we had the most people yet. My mom, my 2 sisters (1 was newbie), my adult niece (and DL CM), my DD6, and myself. It was wonderful! :rotfl2: The only time we had any stress was when we were off property, driving to see the rocket launch from Kennedy. We got a little lost :confused3 coming back and couldn't find a restroom-boy do we hate those tollways.

Anyway, I don't let those non-Disney nay sayers bother me-We have a great time and are building memories to last a lifetime! :cloud9: And we do go other places-for short trips-we'll be doing Vegas in May and maybe Sedona AZ. DD loves Vegas (hates the 5 hour car ride though)
