My good friend is coming into town tomorrow

My good friend is coming into town from Los Angeles tomorrow and we haven't see each other in nearly 8 years! The last time we saw each other, my DS was only 6 weeks old & her DS was only 3 weeks old! I am so excited about the boys getting together too!

She, her DH, DD & DS will be staying at a hotel nearest her uncle (who happens to live here too). I created this huge basket tonight filled with boxed donuts, cookies, muffins, chips, pretzels, hard candy, assorted beverages, nuts & for her DD I made a little gift bag with girly stuff (like body glitter, nail polish & a cute compact set with a slot for make-up brushes ~ I think a 15 y/o would love that!) For her 8 y/o DS I made up a little gift bag with a soft (fiber filled) baseball, baseball cards, playing cards & bubbles & other small stuff for him to play around with at their hotel.

My Mom thought I was crazy to go thru all the trouble, but it was no trouble for me, I was so excited about putting this all together. Tomorrow I will deliver it just before they arrive, so it will be there on their arrival. (I probably won't see them until 4 days later.)

Maybe you could go into business doing that? Sounds like you have a real talent for it! I know I wish I could find someone to get a basket together and put it in the hotel dh and I are staying at Friday!

If you're staying in a hotel in the Detroit area Binny, I'd love to do that for your DH!! I really enjoy making up baskets with stuff in it that people like. (Or that I imagine they would like!!)
