My good deals and a Dis Rewards ?

Booked the kids stay and play free for 1/31/04-2/5/04 at Ft. Wilderness Cabins, the only place my dh & I and our 5 kids can still stay all together (and we plan on using the kitchen.)
Only have to pay for 1 child. It's the last year my 9 yo is kid's price and my 2 yo is free.

Got an offer from Dis Visa of 0%. Re-booked my trip, and earned the $100 disney, and the 1% rewards $.

Had to charge glasses for dd and I until insurance pays us back, so between trip and purchases got $30 dis rewards.

Earned a $15 dis store card for applying for the Dis Visa. Not sure what I will do with that. Either pins to trade (if they have them), or Dis $ (if they will let me. Anyone know?)

Went to check if I still had any Citibank pts. from a card I no longer use, and had enough for a 300 min. phone card to take along to pay for phone calls (and for when we get back also!)

Checked out my E-poll points, and had enough for 2 $5 McDonald's certificates.

Almost have enough for $25 restaurant cert. at My Points.

An organization I belong to has a discount for Comfort/Clarion, etc., so I booked suites for our four travel nights at $59 (Chattanooga) and $87 (Orlando/Univ. Studios). Also joined their program, so I am earning points toward a free night there also.

Oh, and our grocery store had 6 packs of bottled water (with a bonus 2) on sale for 1.50, so I paid 18 cents a bottle for water (REFUSE to pay $3 a bottle!)

Now my question: How do I use my Dis rewards card at the parks? Just like a credit card?

Yes. I used mine to pay for food at Trail's End, Sci-Fi, Boma, and Olivia's (and I still have some money left over because I decided to use up my DD instead of my DRC balance--I'll probably use that at the DS or DS online). I paid for my tips with DD so I could keep track of my balance on the DRC--when they bring you the receipt to sign they also bring you a copy that shows your remaining balance at the bottom. I didn't use mine for merchandise, but would assume it works the same way.

Remember what you transfer to your DRC has to be used before it expires next December. And if your balance is, say, only $30 and your bill is $40, you have to tell them to take $30 off of the DRC and pay for the rest some other way--there's no way for CMs to tell what the balance is left on a card when you're paying (or at least that's the impression I got).
