My Golden Retriever Puppy

Awww, such a cute pup! Goldens are great dogs. Maybe when I have a back yard, I'll get one. :D

Awwwwwwwwwwwww, so cute!!!! Nothing cuter than a Golden puppy. Can you tell I have one too? LOL, mine is almost 11 though, and his face is totally white now. Don't tell him though, he thinks he's about the same age as yours.

Thanks for all the kind comments!

His name is Dusty. He poses really well for pictures but can be a terror. We started obedience training two weeks ago - he enjoys all the other dogs. He still has his puppy breath.

He still loves to bite us - any suggestions on how to stop it. We try putting toys in his mouth but he still likes us better. Other than biting he's really good - just can't leave paper around - it is soon shredded.

proud parent to:
sandy, 10 yr old golden girl
astro, 7 yr old golden boy, (copperstars argyle astrologer)
this guy has never grown up, just bigger, 96 pound heart of gold, all 6 housecats love him, one of them likes to rub against his nose and then wrap her legs around his nose and he never minds
we stopped the puppy biting by always grabbing his mouth, holding it shut and saying loudly "NO BITE", it worked, he stopped, i believe much of that was teething
tucker, 5 yr old yellow lab

sandy and tucker were adopted, sandy at 5yrs old, and tucker last august at 5yr old

we laughingly call ourselves the home for large goofy yellow dogs in need of new homes
i'll post group pic if i figurew out how to do this pic posting

When Bailey was little and would bite, we would say NO, very loudly, fold our arms and then turn our back to him. When he would try to play, we would stay that way and ignore him. It didn't take too long for him to stop. As soon as they figure out that that's not how you want to play, they stop.

Allow me to break out my golden baby’s photo album http://community.webshots.com/scripts/editPhotos.fcgi?action=viewall&albumID=88747541

LOL, your story about your puppy biting reminded me of when our GR was a puppy, he used to chase my boys and grab at the seat of their pants! :teeth: He especially like to chase them when he could see their underwear with characters on the back. After many pairs of pants and toys for the kids and puppy he finally learned, but it sure made for some memorable times. ::yes:: That was many years ago and right now the 3 of them are best buddies and miss one another when they not together.

I’m sure the biting will pass, I often miss when the kids and the puppy wore younger and how they all use to play together. Enjoy this time it goes by way too fast! :(

Those are wonderful. Thank you. I can't seem to get a picture of mine into my avatar like I wanted to. It keeps telling me that it's too big.

Thank you!

I had to REALLY shrink my "puppys" picture in order to make it fit <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_2_60.gif' border=0></a>

Well it took me forever to figure out how to post a pic, but here's my Golden, Jake. He is almost 11 now, this pic is a year old. He's got a little more white now, but he still acts like a pup...
