Have you ever seen the commercial where one person sees another person help another and then they do the same? Imagine if "real life" were like that ... "what a wonderful world"
Sometimes in life, we rely on others to pick-up the slack and do the right thing. With a new year, sometimes comes clarity or even a new perspective on life and your surroundings. There's that old saying "the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." Let this be your first step and mine. Who knows where it will take you ...
I pledge at least one random act of kindness every day. Whether it be to hold the door open for the person behind me or pay the tab of the lady in front of me at Wal-Mart. Who knows what type of day that person may be having. A random act of kindness could easily make a person on the verge of suicide live on to see another day or a Mom on her last ten dollars see the kindness in others and not go home and abuse her child. The simplest things in life, sometimes make a world of difference.
I wish you all a Happy and Prosperous 2011!

lady ran out of gas on a dark back road. We stopped, drove her 10 mins to get gas can & gas, drove her back, Sean filled it for her and off she went. We were hungry and going to dinner and racing before everything closed... he smelled of gasoline after too lol. But worth it to help her.
Along those lines, I am making a resolution to write at least one thank you letter a week. I heard a bit on NPR about a guy who wrote out (the key there is WROTE, not email, etc...) one thank you note a day for an entire year! Although wonderful, I decided to minimize it to once a week for myself. I am already thinking of people I can send them to and it excites me!
I know I love real letters or cards sent via snail mail so hopefully these will let others know how much I truly care.
At least you're not going around doing Random Acts of Kissing.
