My friends the summer offer will be

Thanks for giving us this info. It helps me to plan my August trip. In case anyone is wondering, I looked up the ticket discounts for spring and they are about $30 off per adult ticket. I looked at 5 day and 8 day tickets and both had about the same discount. Hopefully I did the math right!

Guys, I wouldn't read too much into this yet. In fact, the dates may be more telling than you think. With the exception of last year, the free dining offers have generally been released in late April, and usually begin right after the summer offer ends. If you remember the bouceback offers last fall that were for free dining this fall, they began August 18th.

So far, everything is making perfect sense to be the same as years before.

Some history:
2009 - Free dining began 8/16 and was available for booking on 3/30.
The summer room only discount expired on 8/14 and became available on 3/29.

2010 - Free dining began 8/15 and was available for booking on 4/29.
The summer room only discount expired on 8/8 and became available on 5/7.

2011 - Free dining began on 8/28 and was available for booking on 4/28.
The summer room only discount expired on 8/13 and became available on 4/1.

2012 - Free dining began on 8/25 and was available for booking on 3/1.
The summer room only discount expired on 8/14 and became available on 4/2.

I like your way of thinking!!!! Still hoping for a late August code!!

I suppose when you've done it every year since they began offering free dining, it tends to grow on you. A couple years ago, I totally called free dining when everyone else said it was gone. I was so confident, that I blogged it...my friends said I'd have egg on my face...that is, until it hit on exactly that date.

Keep the faith....now the big question is will it be QS or TS for Moderates. A quick prediction says the later, and I'll tell you why I believe that. I am within my 180 days, so last week I made an ADR each day. I had no trouble finding spots for any time I wanted, no matter where it was. Usually, there's always times blacked out due to others making 180+10 ADRs; however, I was able to do it without issue using only the 180 option.

Plus the fact that the summer promo ends right about when last year's fall 2013 bounceback for FD begins. Time will tell...

Thank you for looking this up...I was wondering about the ticket discounts...I am already booked at POFQ with a 20% room discount on Orbitz, and although I could cancel and rebook under this promo, probably not worth it for POFQ, and at this point we do not want to change resorts as we are traveling with other families..

Danny, do you know if there will be any resort restrictions in the deluxes? Specifically, I am looking for AKL savannah room June 17-23. May be too specific at this point, but worth a try!

Thank you very much! Your track record is stellar!;)

Ivonne- I just went to the wdw special offers site and plugged in some early june rates with the spring offer. I did room only. Then I added on the tickets and if you click open under the tickets they show you the total price for tickets by days. I compared these to the regular prices ( I like to get the chart from mousesavers)

Thanks Danny. We're staying at YC CL 6/24 through 6/28. I'd much rather have a 30% room discount over FD.

Is it common for them to end an offer mid week since most people travel weekend to weekend?

With only 20% for mods, I am glad I booked my BB to CBR at 30%.
I really wasn't going to do the BB, but 30% is 30%.
Going in August and booking my dinning, as we speak.:rotfl:

I know that for the the spring offer, the 30% was only for standard view rooms. Hopefully they will change it to include Savannah View for the summer offer.

I just saw an ad on TV (during the Today show) that said for as low as $72/person per day - family of 4, 6 days, 7 nights at an all star resort & theme park ticket package would be around $2008.

The small print says based on 2 adults, 1 junior, 1 child in a standard room for most stays 1/2-2/13, 2/24-3/7, 4/7-5/30, 8/4-11/22 and 11/30-12/12.

So it looks like they extended what ever discount they had for the begining of the year for the rest of the year?

ET: I just ran a quote for september with the amount of people they listed at an all star resort for the time period they had and it came to just over $1900. So maybe the ad was for rack rates - I just wonder why they had the specific dates listed?

Because those dates fall outside of more expensive "seasons" at the resorts. Summer and holiday rates are much higher than the "value season" rates and most of those dates all fall inside value seasons.

Thanks, danny25! I was hoping that there would be something for Sept./Oct. for our friends who are hoping to go with us. But that was really wishful thinking this early in the game. I guess that I'll just have to key my eyes and ears open for a little longer. :)

just saw this commercial myself and lost my mind! on the phone with disney right now, and of course, their system is being enhanced and she has no idea what im talking about......very frustrating......how can they put a commercial on national television and havevtheir call takers not know whats going on???????

Am I understanding right that each resort in each category may have a different % off like CSR might be 25% but POR may be only 20% even though they are both mods? Is it 15% or more for values, 20% or more for mods?

She said it was simply their value season discount. How ridiculous! The value season doesn't extend into December! I find it ridiculous that Disney can put a commercial on television and have their call center have absolutely no information about it. I told her we go every year, so hopefully she would know I have at least some idea what I was talking about. She still tried to tell me it was their normal value season prices. Very frustrating........

Yep, that was why I was asking. ;) Although, I priced out a savannah on the spring offer and it discounted it - just not the dates I needed.
