Ds is on the expensive formula Alimentum and she just gave me 15 cans of it! I pay anywhere from $22-25 a can depending on where I buy it!!! She has a friend that works for a pediatrician and they have been putting it aside for me!! That's about $350!!! Guess how I get to "repay" her. I get to help her book/plan her October WDW trip!!! YAY! I win twice!!! Now I REALLY need to get her Cindy's ressies!!!

Lucky You!!!!

Congrats, and have fun trip planning.........

How great. Good luck getting that Cindy's ressie :)

Thanks! I need it! Send the pixie dust! LOL

Yes, I was always in awe of how generous some people would be when I had my children.

I had a friend who was a pediatrician, and many cans of formula wound their way to my doorstep. One time my aunt and her husband showed up at my house with an entire trunk full of diapers... (my uncle then worked at a Rite Aid/Eckerd, and these were discontinued items).

When my children were on formula after I weaned them, I would always ask my pediatrican what she had for free. She would come back from the supply closet and load me up with formula. People don't realize that all you have to do is ask. One day she gave me $60.00 worth of formula.

Isn't it great to get formula for free!

That's sweet! When ds was a baby, the nurses at the hospital would always send me home with formula after a visit with them. They were absolute dolls! They even gave me a baby shower!! :teeth:

Wow!! That is so sweet of her!!!::yes:: Have fun getting Cindy's! I have managed to secure it twice for my sister. Do you still have tourguide mike for some of his tips on how to secure these??

That's awesome!!! Our DS was on the same formula after trying everything else.

Good for you, hope the supply keeps coming for ya, that stuff sure makes a huge dent in the wallet.

If you supply should start to dwindle, try looking at Target, we found it was cheaper there than at Walmart. I don't know if all Target stores have the same prices, but it was $19.99 or something like that.

We're finally doing the no more formula dance, :bounce:

My son was on an expensive soy formula and I would've just LOVED it if anyone helped me out! What an awesome gesture! You are blessed!

That is such a blessing. Gestures like this make me smile and very happy inside. DS(2months) is on Enfamil Lactose Free, even though his formula is expensive but not quite expensive as yours, I know what you mean by $350. That's a lot of money for 15 cans of formula. I get excited when I get the $2-$5 checks from Enfamil in the mail.

That is so great! I hope you have fun helping her plan her Disney trip and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can get those Cindy's ressies
