My friend got this "group gathering" ID #

We have had our trip for July booked since November. Our friends are on the fence about going with us....but Disney keeps sending her emails twisting her arm Anyway, she got an email yesterday that had a "group gathering" code....35% off for a group of 9 or more. You can have two reservations, not stay the exact same nights (just be there the same a few nights)...anyway, anyone in the group can use the group gathering discount. We booked with the 30% code and if they decide to go, we get 5% more off our resort. Anyone heard of the group gathering ID #? Too bad it did not offer free dining!

The more I investigate, it actually might have been called a grand gathering??

We got one as well. I'm going with my family, my parents and my brother's family. I had noticed that we could downgrade our rooms and save $350, so I instruced them to call. My mom called up and told them of our situation, and they gave us a GG number.

They told her that the GG number really only goes to make sure our rooms were close together. I'd assume they'd use it if we did any of the special GG events.

When I called, I asked about a PIN, and we got 40% off our reservations (we're at WL); oddly, though, we had to go back to the courtyard view rooms we were downgrading from.

Just FYI...if you are going with a group of 8 or more, and someone in your party gets the grand gathering ID and a PIN code, everyone in your party can use the PIN code....we booked with 30% off.....called and gave our friend's grand gather ID #....which had a PIN code and we got 35% off! Hey - saved us an extra $69!
