my fridge stinks

well day 6 of power outage thanks to Charly....taking care of a newborn under these conditions is a challenge...can you say, dirty laundry? Well everything is a complete disaster, we have trees down everywhere but fortunately our house is ok. Last night a friend of ours who got his power back brought over his generator, its huge and he hooked it up to our main circuit, or whatever, so we are finally enjoying power, ac and all. The problem now is, our fridge is back on, and even though it is completely emptied...it stinks like rotten fish...and is stinking up the entire kitchen. I sprayed some "simply green" in it, any other suggestions on getting the stench out. Ok, I'm off to do like 10 loads of laundry. Thanks!

Wash the inside down with bleach........don't forget any of the tiny nooks and crannys........and then put an opened bag of charcoal briquets in and shut the door. Leave it at least overnight. That should help
