I haven't been to Disney since the advent of full FP+ (we piloted it back in 2013, but paper FP was also still in use) and had never done the 60 day window thing. So I stayed up late last night to be ready at midnight (fortunately, there was a football game on to keep me up). Overall, I thought it went well. I got almost everything we wanted in the general time frame that we wanted. The only thing we missed on was SDMT on our 1st MK day. That was already gone. But we did get it later in the week and I'm guessing that one ride will be enough for my family and I (my boys are 12 & 9 and are into mega coasters).
Here are a few other observations:
Overall, I'm glad it is over. The only thing I have to do now is pay for the trip which is not due until later in the month and I'm not parting with my $ earlier than needed.
Here are a few other observations:
- The tiering thing does kind of suck, but I understand why they do it.
- You can't individually pick your times. You have to pick the 3 attractions you want and then modify the times. I'd prefer a system where you booked them one by one.
- I was also surprised that my ideal times weren't exactly available. Not a big deal, but most of the week I had to take 11:15 to 12:15 instead of 11 to 12, 2:45 to 3:45 instead of 3 to 4.
- I do like the fact that I have TSMM booked for arrival day. We always do DHS on arrival day and until we got to pilot FP+, we always missed the FP's for TSMM by the time we arrived at the park.
