My first vacation!!

I'm 20 and i'm fairly new to the whole vacation-planning thing. i've never planned a vacation for myself, let alone myself and someone else. Of course the place I HAD to go was Disney. two reasons: it's been 6 years since i've been there and my partner-in-crime (DBF, 23) has never been so i put my foot down and said, "we're going" (thank goodness for tax returns!)

Long story short, i've booked the room (Pop Century...AAA discount..big thanks to my mom!), the Flight (i work at an airport..that wasn't too difficult) and we've made a few ADRs for character breakfasts..the DBF seems to be looking forward to them -- he wants to meet tigger? oh, and of course i bought park tickets. Oh, we also have rented a car, just incase we decide on a whim to go to sea world..he's been talking about it a lot. (rental car places sure do like to charge the under 25 club..just a tip for y'all)

Anything else i'm forgetting? does anyone have any tips to make his first disney trip more memorable?? is there someone i should totally do? he's been looking at the Wide world of sports complex..is it worth the time?
We plan on going to MK, Epcot, AK, Blizzard Beach, and downtown disney. Possibly MGM and Sea world if we have enough time and energy, I'm trying to remember it's a vacation for us too. (Read: both have full time jobs and both are in college...vacation=extra sleep, maybe?)
Plus we're on a budget, that i'm trying to make grow and make it the whole 8 days. any tips on things to save money would be great too. I have heard about the refillable mugs, and i'm definately going to get those.

It's my first post after lurking around for awhile...I did my best...i'm still working on the lingo and all the abbrevations.

I suggest not renting a car and using Disney Express. If you want to visit sea world, just rent a car for one day- you can do that at Disney. Also when are you going? If you can I would do the free dinning, you have to pay rack rate for the hotel (no AAA discount) but you more than make up for it in free food. IMHO the refillable mugs are not worth it for me. I don't like having to carry them around the park if I use it in the morning, or don't want to walk back and forth between my room and the food court to return it after I get my drink before the park

Anyway you do it, you'll have fun!

I think MGM is one park you should def hit. It has more thrill rides and things for young adults to do. Tower of Terror, Rockin Roller Coaster, Star Tours (the star wars ride). Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

How are his table manners? Bring him to the 50's Prime Time Cafe for a good laugh- the servers there act like your mom. They will reprimand you for bad manners & make you eat your veggies. Everyone loves it there- I've never heard a bad word.

Do you like ride pics? The new Expidition Everest at AK is giving away free ride photos until Sept 30th, but you do have to earn them. Go to disneyeverest(dot)com and play the game- which took me about 1/2 hour- I'm bad at computer games. At the end it will give you a printable coupon for free pic. I got this info from the budget board- check it out.

If you or your DBF are into video games you'll not want to miss Disney Quest or Pleasure Island (PI is for evening entertainment).

two young adults and a different drink in each country from around the worldshowcase in epcot should make for a great afternoon. Your dbf may like to walk to boardwalk and eat at espn if he is into sports. On your epcot day go out the back enterance and you can walk to the boardwalk. You will have a magical time. imho mgm is much better than sea world.
