My first trip to WDW and DH's first time being arrested (Dec 2009)

Hi Lee- I've been reading your report for a while and it's really good so far! You are a great writer. I am going to try my best to keep up, since your TR has been moving about 10 pages every day! ;)

Now the fiction is showing. Pooh and Peter Pan will have the long lines while Snow White will not! ;)

I am still enjoying it anyway.:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2
We went to Disney during the very busy time of Spring Break, and was surprised because every ride/attraction was packed out with lines and crowds, but we walked right on to Snow White!!, during Spring Break!

ITA! Near fireworks & spectro, it seems like Snow White never has a line at all, too. PPF is pretty much always at least 45 minutes after the morning. I'm willing to guess at least 60 on the day this happened, although a MVMCP was actually this night. We were there the night before this and it was soooo packed with long waits. It's too bad. I would've had fun scanning my pics to see if I happened to catch Lee and her cowboy in any of 'em but we only did that day trip during her stay. I like taking random crowd pics sometime.

Can't wait to read some more!! :goodvibes

ETA-
Is there any chance you might add chapter links to your first post? I'm missing updates in all the comments!

I'm only on page 10 and I'm going back to read in order, no skipping or cheating for me all though the arrest has me wondering.

Just had to say how much I've enjoyed your TR. It's a hoot and a half.

My cowboy and I got married when I was 19 and he was 26.
We met on Dec 4 and were married in April. On May 1 we moved from Connecticut to Hawaii, he'd hung up the hat by then and was in the Navy.
Lots of growing up to do but we did it together. We've been married 18 years this year and have 4 kids, 3 boys and a girl.

Oh and not sure if you posted pics or not but don't worry if you don't. DH is a computer guy now and I don't post pics of the family either. He doesn't trust the internet, especially since he work in the field.

:rotfl::rotfl2:

Funny now, but not then of course.:upsidedow

True, I'm pretty sure it wasn't funny then. Unfortunately I don't have to go to WDW to take this ride. I've taken it here back home. Many, many years ago. I vowed never to ride that ride again. I have a sense of what Rig went through. Not fun at all. I feel really sad for them that this happened to them. I was glad to see he got out of jail. I'm just hoping they didn't let it ruin the rest of their trip. I'll guess we'll have to stay tuned to find out. :surfweb:

We have similarities. That is how DH and I were, we grew together, not apart. No, we aren't the same people we were when we married but we like who each other is!

Oh, and my DH is an IT guy too, and probably why I have never done a TR is cause he doesn't like the idea of photos of us on the internet either, it has to do with our families more then strangers but I know what yo uare saying for sure.

Not sure what to believe with this TR. We were at WDW during the same time Lee has said she was there. The day that it rained, it poured all day long and instead of going to the parks we went to DTD to shop. My dad had gotten sick the night before too and spent the day sleeping in our room recouping. The following day it rained a bit in the morning and cleared up but remained fairly overcast with a bit of sunshine poking through. It was definitely jacket weather that day and when the sun was going down it got down-right chilly. This is all accurate in her TR. We did not stay for Spectromagic that night as we had ADR's at the Wave.

As for the walk-on at Peter Pan and Winnie the Poo, if it was during the parade, it is possible. When we rode Snow White during our trip (not sure what day because we spent a lot of time at MK) we did have a wait that was almost as long as our wait for Peter Pan. I'm also remembering that MK the day after the rain wasn't very busy. Toontown was packed though but the rest of the park we didn't have much wait for most rides except Dumbo. Teacups we could've ridden over and over again - it was a 5 minute wait.

You should try writing a book -- you are so descriptive and really know how to keep someone's interest -- Write about how you met and fell in love and finding out about your father, etc. -- It would be a bestseller, I bet! :thumbsup2 I am suscribing now -- Can't wait to read more!!!!!popcorn::

You're a very talented writer and I'm really enjoying your trip report! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Best TR ever! RigLee you are an incredible writer! My DH and I just came back from WDW July29-Aug4 and before reading your TR I had thought briefly about writeing one of my own. Now I know it is not for me -my memory is like swiss cheese compaired to yours :lmao: I would have to spend the entire trip writeing everything down. And that does not sound like fun.
Besides no one would believe how bad my husband spoils me ;) It really is something you have to see to believe - on this last trip he carried my PURSE around the parks :lovestruc
Now i have to scan the "is this you" thread and see how many people snapped pictures of my 6'5 tatooed hubby with a tan floral purse on his shoulder :rotfl2:

Keep writeing! I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip popcorn::

I was in WDW the same time at RigLee, she is spot on with the weather. It poured when we were at EPCOT and DHS the next day started yucky and cleared up nicely.

The line for Snow White, at that time, could have been long. It had just recently been opened after having been refurbished...if I am remembering correctly. I was there 4 times in a year so I may be a little foggy.

Loving this TR! More....more!

After spending most of my day (don't tell the boss :rolleyes1) catching up with this thread I am addicted! I love your writing style and that you're not doing the typical trip report. Like others have said, I've never stuck with a trip report that didn't have pictures until now!

I won't tells yours as long as you don't tell mine. I keep coming back every hour or so to see if the next chapter is up yet.

I don't believe doubters are asserting that the OP has never been to WDW or even that the OP was not in WDW on the dates mentioned. If I were an aspiring novelist, I wouldn't set my story in a place I've never been. To the contrary, I'd put my characters in a place I know well so I could get the details right.

I'm not trying to revisit the truth/fiction debate, but there seems to be a lot of "it-must-be-true-because" talk in recent posts.

Again, I'm enjoying the story (and I even guessed right about the envelope--yay!)

I can't win for losing can I:confused3 If I add too many details it's just nor believable, but if I leave anything out it's just not believable. Am I the only one who has ever left something out and been questioned?
Now the fiction is showing. Pooh and Peter Pan will have the long lines while Snow White will not! ;)

Please pardon me for not being more clear on the little details.
Rig and I waited in line for both Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan, it was a nice sized line for both and gave us plenty of time for talking and cuddling and small public displays of affection.
Snow white had a line too, it was really long compared to it's a small worlds line, so we skipped snow white and chose the shorter line.

the only ride that night for us that was walkon was our 1 ride on haunted mansion.

I am glad that you are enjoying this, but are you enjoying it because it is interesting or are you enjoying picking it apart. Please don't read that as sounding confrontational.

Meant to say "it-must-or-must-not-be-true-because..." It's on both sides.

Hi Lee!

Just like everyone else, I am totally into your TR... as I've already mentioned. :goodvibes

But, I have a question... once your report is over, what is your next adventure?

I'd love to invite you and Rig along for my first trip so you can help me write my first TR (shoot, you could help me write my PTR).

Can't wait to read more.
