Dh has been their twice before it's me and the kids first time their!
Dec 8 to the 15th
All Star Movies Fantasia buliding Rooms 5847 and 5846 (i think lol)

Well I guess i'll start the night before. Our plane was to leave on Sun Dec 8th. about 11 the night before my 4 yr old tells me his belly hurts. 2 min later says "Mom, I think I'm gonna throw up " wel yup another 2 min goes by and he starts running up the stairs to the bathroom :( then my 2 yr old starts getting sick:( Dh and I are up till 3 with with them. I go to sleep and he stays up. My Dad picks us up in the morning and he was sick all night to! the 4 yr old (Bobby) is fine now just tired. Megan (2 yr old) gets sick one last time on the way to the airport. The flight was good everybody pretty much slept . We get there, rent a mini van (used the $199.00 code) ended up being over $400.00 anyway on the way to the resort Nicole (10) gets sick in the rented minivan! the whole way there:(
I go to check in (didn't want my half sick family in the lobby) I get the keys and we head over to ou room. We get out the Van and she gets sick in the parking lot. (last time thank God!) I tell my 11 yr old Scott "You better start pukeing now!" LOL
We had connecting rooms and I loved them. I really wanted the Toy story building (kids fav movie) But was happy.
We bought the mugs and walked around a little. nothing planned for that day. About 2 in the morning Scott gets it :(
I guess I should back track a little here.
The Friday before we left we went to my parents house and the virus was going through the family, so I knew it was a short thing, lasting about 6 hours at the longest.
SO Monday! RAIN we figure we would just drive and check things out Went to see where everything was, went through the parking lot of MK and then to Epcot, looked like the rain was gonna stop so we decided to give Epct a try. BIG mistake! IT POURED, we saw very little, got the ponchos. I felt like crap. Got back to the room at about 5, I had a fever! It was Dh and I's anniversary and I was sick! Slept all night! Where was the Magic?!?!
Well I found it on Tuesday!!!! (it gets better here!)
Tuesday we went to MK I got teary eyed as I walked down Main street! We had a blast! Also did Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party that night! I feel in love with Dh all over again for taking us!
Wedsday we planned on a do nothing day and the kids wanted to swim, not warn enough for me but Dh and the kids had a blast!
thursday we did MGM. Loved it. But it rained again. Saw Fantasia OMG worth the price of admission by itself!! Started raing more when it was over but we wanted to see the Osborne Family light show. Walked back and it really started raining! We were soaking wet by the time we left, but glad we saw it!
They were predicting rain again for Fri, so we figured we would bag Universal (Didn't pre buy the tickets) Went out to breakfast and while there we were talked into checking out the Wydham Palms. LOVED IT! As my sister said "most people come home with a tee-shirt, you come home with the time share!" LOL Yep, we bought one!

Sat~ had to do MK for our last day! Boy what a differnce a weekend makes! It was crowed! On tuesday we did the Buzz lightyear ride three times. Today it was once! Bobby (4) loved Space Mountain! and we all did the Indy car thing
While there Megan got her FIRST HAIRCUT!!! yup two and this was her first real haircut! (I trimmed her bang before) She got mouse ears with "First haircut" on them!!!! She wore them most of the day. Dh and I talked about putting them in with her baby stuff and giving them to her at her bridal shower one day, Well she lost them in the airport, I cried!! Dh was even upset. I felt like we lost part of the magic we were able to take home. Still upset just thinking about it:(
I know I left out alot details ie~where we ate etc, but It's late and I have to get up in the morning so I hope I can post again.
Anyone know if those ears can be replaced?? She got a first haircut cert. too but I miss those ears!

Aww, that's really too bad about all the rain and then losing her mouse ears. I sure hope you are able to get them again somehow?!?
Sounds like you all had fun anyway though (even though it rained). I'm sorry also to hear that everyone was feeling so poorly at first!

I do want to ask you though- where are you talking about her getting her first hair cut at? We recently went and my 2yr old was with us and she hasn't had a haircut yet! I didn't even know a place somewhere in Disney World cut hair?!?

Try calling Walt Disney Mail-order department to see about replacing your daughters "ears". The number is 407-363-6200. You can order almost anything from the parks or Downtown Disney through them. I have used it a couple times. Good luck I hope they can help. Also congratulations on your time share. We purchased Disney Vacation Club a couple of years ago and couldn't be happier. It gives a family a compelling reason to vacation!!

As for the haircut question by Sybah, there is a barber shop on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. Our son had his hair cut there last year. It is at the front of the park, next to the horse barn. If you are facing the Castle, it is on the left hand side. It is kind of around a corner, we missed it when we first looked for it on Main Street! There was a cute article in the Disney Magazine a few months ago about it. The CM that was pictured, was the same one that cut our sons hair!

Awwwww... that is sweet, glad you had a great trip despite the illnesses... hope you get new ears for your little girl...

Thanks for the phone number, and a special thanks to the woman who e-mailed me.
I called Disney just now and they said they could not replace them because they are something they don't sell in the park.:(

If anyone is there or going soon could you please ask the barber for them :) I'd be more than happy to pay for your time and shipping!

Loved your trip report. We may have been on the same plane. I left from Philly on Dec 8 at 8:30am. Was that your flight, too? There were alot of kids on it, but they were all so well-behaved. It's too bad we had so much rain there, but like your family, mine went to Epcot on Monday too, thinking we'd find lots of cover. But, those downpours were unreal, so we left early. I still had a great time though and am glad you did too.:D

I'm glad that virus was short lived and didn't disrupt your trip too much. Sorry to hear you lost those "ears" I hope you can get them replaced.

Thanks for taking the time to post this, I enjoyed reading about your trip.

Did your older kids like the characters and did you guys get any autographs or do character meals?

We didn't do any character meals but My 10 yr old DD Loved getting the autographs in my second post there is a link to the picture of Megan after getting her haircut I thinbk you can click on the whole album to see the characters Nicole got autographs from. She had a ball getting them.

Fran

Still no ears:(

Have you tried to email Disney about getting 'new ears'?? I have emailed them a few times about different things & have always gotten a response back - usually by phone. They might be able to direct you to someone from the barber shop itself.
The email address that I use is -- wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com --
It might be worth a try.
Our granddaughter also had her 1st haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop when she was 2 & received the certificate & 'ears'!! We lucked out by having the Barber Shop Quartet singing in the shop at the time - When You Wish Upon A Star!! They also sang Happy Birthday to our Grandson who was turning 2 the next day. Great memories!!!

Anything is worth a shot! thanks so much, just emailed them. I'll let you know what happens!
