Got up early and went to breakfast with everyone. The place was deserted. All the cheerleaders were gone! After breakfast, I brought my luggage to the Customs House and checked it and then went to DD to get the dog ID tags I bought engraved. They opened at 9:30 and I got there early so I sat and read my book until the doors opened. Dropped the tags off and then went shopping in Once Upon A Toy Store. What a great shop that is. Found a ton tof things that I will buy for various relations when I hit the lottery. Picked up the tags which look great and headed on to Epcot. Walked through security pretty quickly and then right on to SE for the last time this trip. Stood and watched the dancing waters which were back on at last, shopped for a pin for a friend only to find that those were retired and I would have to look elsewhere. Saw an amazing acrobatic troup of three right behind the fountain and then slowly worked my way to the American Adventure. Show wasn't for awhile but the Voices oif Liberty were just coming in to do a show so I stayed to listen. I love close harmony groups and they did some great songs. Chatted with a couple of the members of the group and then looked around. Saw the WTC flag and later heard the story from a CM of how it got there. Very touching. The Voices of Liberty sang again and ended with the national anthem. I did not care for the arrangement, I guess I am more of a purist and would like it to be the way it is usually sung but it was moving towards the end. Then it was time for the show. They really need to update this show. It stops at the 80's and so much has happened that they really need to address it. Especially since they show the WTC in the finale. Still and all it was a good show. Then it was a slow walk the rest of the way around stopping to ride Maelstrom and Il Rio di Tiempo and then on the way out got stopped and asked to do a survey. That took about five minutes but it was a very good survey. Then back to the resort for some lunch and i was hoping a nap but that was not to be. After lunch we needed to head towards the Customs House to meet YourRide to go back to the airport. Got my luggage and chaged and then we waited. and we waited and we waited. He was supposed to meet us at 4:30. at 4:45 we called and heard the dispatcher call him and heard him swearing and hollering on the other end. the dispatcher came back on and said the driver was on his way. I do not think he realized that we could hear what was going on. The driver had forgotten us. We even called earlier in the day to confirm our reservation. The driver showed up at 5:00 telling us he lived only 10 minutes away and apologizing for forgetting us, none of us was very happy with Thom at that point and we were like, just get us to the airport. We got there and the guy at the curb said he could check our luggage for us there, but when he went into the computer he says, you need to go into the counter, I cannot check you here. This cannot be good and indeed it turns out our flight has been cancelled and we are being put onto another flight with a different layover and different arrival times in Albany. When all was said and done we left about the time we should have and only arrived 11 minutes later than our original flight. It wasn't crowded so we got great seats on the second leg of the trip and got home with no trouble. I got back to my home on Sunday evening just before the blizzard hit. Thanks goodness the last couple of days were so nice in Florida. I can hang onto that!!!!!
I hope that you have enjoyed my trip report. I hope that it wasn't too long, but these are the kind that I like to read so I hope you will all forgive me. Thanks for reading!!!!
