My First Trip Report - but not our first trip - with photos. UPDATED Oct 2010

So my dear friend gave me permission to chime in on her TR. To which I say, I am always happy slide in with my "captain obvious" color commentary to her doing the heavy lifting with the play by play. :thumbsup2

So aren't her kids the cutest?! Well except for my precious angel of course. But seriously, my DD is an only child and had a blast having other kids around and not being stuck with mom for the whole week.

We were light weights and chose the green side. We enjoyed it very much !! We rode Spaceship Earth after that, which was another ride that we had not tried.

Loved it !!

Then, it was time to ride Soarin'. My favorite ride

We requested the front row. The flight attendant said we would have to wait a few more minutes. We said OK and got front row, center. YAY !!

Okay, can ya'll believe it was their first time on Spaceship Earth?! How exciting! I love being around people experiencing an attraction for the first time. You know we never compared "futures". Ours was an exciting vacation destination, and my picture was even pretty good. I know you'll give them the blow by blow on the ridiculousness of my other attraction phots. By way of a preview- think the Friends epsiode where Chandler and Monica were having their engagement photo taken. LOL!

The front row center on Soarin' was awesome! So glad we asked. The best part was it was my DD and I's second time in that position that day. We were assigned that location when we rode when the park opened. Being there at rope drop does pay folks! Who knew?!

You MUST ride Tower of Terror the next time you go! I was SO scared when I first rode it - not a big thrill ride fan - but it was AWESOME!!! I rode it 6 times that trip and list it as my favorite ride! I, on the other hand, have not ridden Rockin' Rollercoaster but plan on trying it in 3 weeks!

Cute blue tongues on the kids at EPCOT!!

Your family looks soo incredibly happy and excited at the Crystal Palace!

Love the pic of your DH posing as "singing in the rain!" Too cute!

:lmao: Don't be shy. You can post some of your photos too, you know, so I can pinch them for my collection.:rotfl: Updates to come later this PM.

So we went back to the resort after Hollywood Studios, got some rest and some dinner and headed out to explore Downtown Disney. It was PACKED, but we had a good time. We meant to get ice cream at the Ghiradelli shop, but it was just too busy. DH surprised DSD27 with tickets to LaNouba. These were bought as HALF price with our newly acquired annual pass. A $100 savings there - YAY !!! Here are some pictures we took that evening.

We got in late and our plan was to sleep in and go to Magic Kingdom a little later in the day and stay for the Electrical Parade and the Fireworks. DH LOVES fireworks !! Day 5 coming up !!

Thanks !! We had a great time !! My DS11 and DN11 thought that they may be too grown-up and cool for it, but they really enjoyed seeing the characters, oh AND the buffet. DN11 LOVES that kind of breakfast food.

You will love it !! Just remember to press the back of your head into the head rest and you won't get jostled so much. I guess I need to get myself on the ToT, huh ?? Doesn't sound like it would be too bad.

Looks like you had a great Disney Vacation, Love all the Pictures!

My DH is the MUCH better photographer. Mine always turn out blurry. Glad you are enjoying them :)

Next time we will plan it so that we can all spend more time together !! Maybe when you aren't doing free dining - of which I was insanely jealous - and you won't be running off to all of your amazing ADR's. :)

So we slept in, laid around, did some laundry and got some rest. DH made a yummy breakfast and much coffee was consumed. We ate lunch, did some dishes and packed the back pack for another beautiful Disney day. We got to the park at around 3:00 PM.

We hopped onto the train and rode over to Frontier Land to fast pass Splash Mountain which we didn't get to the previous trip. When we got there the parade had just finished and the wait for Splash was 15 min. So we hopped into line while DH and DD8 got us fast passes I for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We waited definitely more than twenty to ride. It was fun, but I must say that this was the MOST soaked I ever got on this ride. On previous trips, I barely got wet. But not this time. We were wet through and through.

463.jpg

461.jpg

There was some time before our fast pass for BTMRR, so we headed down to Pirates of the Caribbean.

So we rode POTC, just a 10 minute wait. Took some pictures in the gift shop.

Look are her. She is so stinkin' hilarious. I bet she is thinking "and your little dog, too" :rotfl:

DSD27 and the kids rode Aladdin's Carpets

474.jpg

DH took the kids up to the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House. DH loves this attraction.

478.jpg

479.jpg

After that we rode BTMRR and then headed over to Tomorrowland to fast pass Space Mountain.

486.jpg

The wait was only 20 min., so we rode standby and fast passed Buzz Lightyear. After Space Mountain, we had dinner at Cosmic Rays and let our stomachs settle by riding the blue train.

481.jpg

487.jpg

485.jpg

We rode Buzz Lightyear and hot-footed it over to Peter Pan's Flight and got a fast pass. We rode the Haunted Mansion and saw Mickey's Philharmagic. At this point it is getting dangerously close to parade time and this was a parade that I REALLY wanted to see. So we rode Peter Pan and headed over to Frontier Land to snag a decent spot for the parade. We found a gap in the crowd, didn't get any dirty looks and waited for it to begin.

Let me just say, the I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the night parade. I loved Spectromagic and I was prepared to love the Main Street Electrical Parade. And I did LOVE it and so did DSD27, and the DH and kids as well.

LOTS of pictures !!

I absolutely LOVED it and I can't wait to see it again.

After that we followed the masses over to the castle to catch the fireworks. It was awesome.

After that, we followed the hordes out of the park

564.jpg

and settled in for some sleep. Day 6 Epcot - Food and Wine - YAY !! Can you tell I love Epcot ??

We arrived at the park about 10 AM. It was tough to get up and going after such a late night. Lines were a little longer, but we got everything in Future Land done by about 12:30 PM. Soarin', Mission Space, Test Track, Nemo, Spaceship Earth, Figment and even the Sum of all Thrills.

I was on a mission to make it through all of the countries on this day and do some serious eating and drinking.

789.jpg

First stop Canada. I got cheese soup and the salmon and a Moosehead. DSD27 got the Sausage and Polenta and the accompanying wine. Me, DH and DSD27 shared all of this. It was excellent. DD8 got a Duffy bear on a stick instead of the mask they usually gave out. We ate while she colored and then I got DD8 a passport and we took some pictures.

571.jpg

570.jpg

DSD27 and DH stopped at the Ireland kiosk and had the Lobster and Scallop Fisherman's Pie and some Honey Meade wine. They shared and said it was very tasty. I am allergic to lobster, so I sat this one out.

Then we headed towards the United Kingdom.

578.jpg

We went through all of the shops, got stamps at the kidcot station for DD8's bear and passort, played in the hedge maze and took some fun pictures of the kids.

577.jpg

576.jpg

You can DD8's Duffy bear in this picture. I liked the Duffy bear, but I like the mask and all of the paper charms you get from the countries. They didn't attach any charms to the Duffy bear.

582.jpg

Then we headed towards France. The France kiosk has my favorite cocktail, the Parisian Cosmo Slush. Oh yeah, I got one. I also got the short ribs with mashed potatoes and DSD27 got a Cosmo slush and the escargot. The short ribs were VERY good and the escargot were surprisingly good. DH drank too much of my slush so I had to get another one. DH took the kids to get some ice cream while we ate and when we met up again, DD8 got to be first in line when Marie came out. She was so thrilled !!

The kids painted a masterpiece

We cruised through the shops, got stamps at the kidcot station for DD8's bear and passport, and headed off to Morocco.

On the way to Morocco, DSD27 and DH stopped at the Belgium kiosk and got some Mussels in garlic sauce and the accompanying wine. They said it was very good. I got a Kefta and a Tangerine Mimosa from the Morocco kiosk, both very good. We explored the country, got stamps for DD8's bear and passport at the kidcot station, took some pictures

Then we headed off to get some more blue slushies for the kids and a daiquiri for me and DH to share.

Then we went to Japan.

So the next country was Japan. Not much interested me at the kiosk, so we cruised the shops, got DD8's kidcot stamps and took some pictures.

The next country was America. The kids had something to eat there, we rested and for some odd reason, didn't get any pictures. Then we moved to Italy. We got the Ravioli and a Pinot Grigio at the Italy kiosk. VERY tasty. Went through the shops, got stamps and took a picture or two.

Picture622.jpg

Picture623.jpg

Next was Germany. I got the cheese and ham spatzel and an Oktoberfest beer. Shared with DH and DSD27. We cruised, stamped and took pictures.

Picture625.jpg

Picture624.jpg

We also stopped at the new Werther's candy shop and we got some candy there.

Next stop China.

So we left off at China. Nothing in the China Food and Wine Kiosk really interested us, so we got DD8's bear and passport stamped and took some pictures while the kids played with the puppets.

After that, off to Norway. We fast passed the Maelstorm and then toured the country. Looking in shops, doing the kidcot thing. DSD27 spotted the Poland Kiosk and got Pierogis and some kind of strawberry slushie drink. All very yummy. After a while, it was time to ride the Maelstorm. We rode and make out of the theater before the movie started and then took some pictures.

Next stop Mexico. We rode the Gran Fiesta Tour and got a Fiesta Margarita - very yummy !!

DSD27 and I enjoying them near Test Track. DN11 trying to stick that blue tongue in our picture.

642.jpg

At this point, our feet are killing us. We are all exhausted and starting to wear down. We had planned a water park for the next day - but decided to tone it down a bit.

So we slept in the next morning and rested up. Around 11 AM we went over to the Boardwalk to look around and shop a little.

The food was good the service was ... OK. We would go back.

DSD27 trying to get DN11 to smile

656.jpg

The lack of smile was normal, but he didn't eat much. I just thought he was tired or didn't like what he ordered. But I would find out later that this was a bad sign.

DD8's name is Hannah - so we had to get this shot.

675.jpg

After lunch, we rode the Friendship boat back over to the Boardwalk

686.jpg

Then we went over to Fantasia Gardens for some mini-golf. We all got in half price with the annual passes - YAY. $30 savings there. We all played and DH took pictures and kept score. I won BTW :)

The course was precious and lots of fun. We went back to the resort to rest and DSD27 and DH went to LaNouba. They LOVED it as I knew they would. I had already seen it with some girlfriends earlier in the year. It is an amazing show, I highly recommend it !!

Next up Day 8 - Animal Kingdom.

Great trip report!!!

I love all your photos!

After hearing how so many people are tackling these scarier rides like TOT and EE etc.. I am working up my courage to go on them when we are there
Dec. 26th - Jan. 1st
