We have the exact same tent and we love it!

I am looking for a site to request - can you even request a specific site, does anyone know?

Today was a split day between FtW and Epcot for EMH.
Does anyone else find that even on split days like this it is hard to leave the fort to go to the parks..im usually having so much fun its hard to go

The morning was beautiful out, there was such a nice breeze kicking that we decided we would go looping before we hit the pool.
Already there was alot of decorations setup for halloween. The kids and I decided to go looping and try and get some pictures.

We found these little ghosts hanging in the trees in the path from the trading post to the 100 loop.

The last 3 above are of Hilda's site in the 700's she has such a great display. She is so great

next up is time at the pool and Epcot for EMH.. be back in the next post

the birthday party sounds like it was a huge success!! glad you made his day. i am enjoying the tr. but, the halloween decorations have me depressed now since we won't be able to get there this year in october ..

1515 was just around the corner from the CS and and bus stop not a far walk at all. Ive never requested a specific site, just loop so Im not sure about that. I love this tent too! It is so big and so far we havent had any problems with rain.

Yes very much so.
I am so excited about going for Halloween this year! It will be our first time for it. It was so great seeing all the decorations on this trip, it made us that much more excited about the next one coming up

Words to live by when doing a trip report I saved everything for my first post, when I was writing the next part I was trying to get it done before I left for Orlando and ooops.. forgot to save.. that will teach me to be in a hurry..I wont forget that lesson again

Okay lets try this again...

After looping around in the GC and getting some pics we decided to head over to the pool and cool off before it was time for dinner and Epcot EMH.
The weather was so nice, great breeze, so that when you came out of the water you wasnt automatically hot again like in the summer time. We played at the pool and the kids spent some time at the playground before heading back to camp to eat some hamburgers.

Brotherly love

my little nephew.. he loves the fort too and usually comes with us on our trips.

After dinner we headed on over to Epcot for the evening.. Is it just me or does anyone else have a hard time leaving FtW even if it is to go the parks Im usually so content being there that its hard for me to want to go..but I do and I always end up having fun.
We went to Nemo and Talk time with Crush first. The kids and I had not been to Crush before and we wanted to try it out. It was so cute and the kids were picked to ask questions. I was drug into the conversation when he asked my ds6 where his "parental unit" was at. My DS was confused and answered I dont know what your talking about dude, but my mom is over there Yea thanks kiddo, now the turtle wants to talk to me. It was really a cute show.

DD13 and DS 6 then wanted to ride TT, DS 9 doesnt care for anything faster than IASW so of course we had to go in the exit and take 101 car photos while the others rode.

Then we went to check out Mexico and Norway..Remember how I said DS9 doesnt like fast rides... well he doesnt like rides that drop either. So of course I have to give him my normal speech when we get to mexico because he had not been on this ride. Nope No Drops.. NOpe doesnt go fast...Nope doesnt go upside down..k cool he decides he is game Then we get to the point where they ask how many and point you to your row.. almost on...and then..deciding he might want to double check mom's answers he asks the wonderful CM. THe CM thought it would be a great idea to tell him " oh man... there is a huge drop on the end..bigger than splash mountain, your gonna love it kid". WHAT Has this guy lost his ever loving Disney mind! DOes he possibly understand how hard it is to get this boy on ANYTHING?? apparently not. So at this point he RUNS so fast in the opposite direction up the ramp screaming that he cant believe I lied and is lost somewhere in Mexico with me in fast pursuit. Thank Goodness A WONDERFUL CM that had been sweeping the que and had overheard all this take place, caught up with him first. She was able to calm him down and explain the ride to him and tell him that the CM was not being honest with him. FInally.. he agreed to to give it a try. Crisis averted and that CM got a very nice thank you note left at Guest Relations that evening
Of course Norway has a teeny tiny drop.. so with what previously took place I thought I better not push it or he might Jump Ship. So we took turns riding then had some fun with pictures and called it a night.

So at this point he RUNS so fast in the opposite direction up the ramp screaming that he cant believe I lied and is lost somewhere in Mexico with me in fast pursuit.

I have a ride-anxious son, too, and if this had happened to us, we'd have caught up to him somewhere around Jacksonville! Very happy another CM stepped in to patch things up!

Great TR so far -- loving the pix! I can totally relate to the "brotherly love," too...in fact, I think I may have the same photo somewhere...

I totaly undersatand not wanting to leave FW even to go to the parks. The only time we go to FW( atleast 2 times a year) in the MH is with my DH and he hasn't been to the parks in 2 years . I get my park fix with DS when we have to stay in a resort (usually a weekend trip, can't justify the fuel price for a weekend ). Our last trip to to the fort was in February and he kept asking me " are you sure you don't want to go to the parks?" it drove him crazy. I LOVE the halloween pics, we will be there this year and I see from your ticker you will too, I am looking forword to meeting everyone. I can't wait!

Yes he is totally ride anxious! Now the youngest son... he is like me loves everything..upside down,fast,twists, spins and drops. He just rode ToT this trip and loved it. I completly understand the older ones fears though..I explain what the ride is like and tell him if he would like to try it once and see if he likes it he can. Not forcing him on anything has helped over the years..but he still has his fears. I tell him its ok.. everyone is different

Oh you just dont know how much I agree with Off with his head!! I had visions of strapping him to the front of a Splash Mountain boat with Duct tape and telling him " enjoy the ride,its just like IASW,youll love it kid"
but..... I had all the kids little eyes on me. I tried to explain to the CM when we went back down to get on that its best to be honest, these kids "trust" what you tell them. He shrugged it off without so much as an apology. BUT with the BAD came the Good and the other CM was Great, totally understanding and helped with great patience. Now thats the Disney I love.

THis is the first year in many, many years that I was able to get AP's for all of us. So I definitly wanted to go to the parks, it is just tough to leave that relaxing atmosphere
I cant wait til the Halloween trip either..I am also looking forward to meeting everyone. Its so weird.. I feel like a know so many people from this board that I havent even met yet! Feel free to drop by we will either be in 1500 or 2000

Saturday we spent all day hanging out at the fort. Swimming,looping,playing at the playground and cooking on the grill ....okay im ready for our oct trip We had a blast going around the different loops and checking out all the different TT's and Tow Rigs. My DD of course has her eyes on the diesel pushers

Quite a relaxing day so not too many pictures. Forgot to take my camera when we headed out on the GC , I wish I would of had it. Best sight of the day was at the GC path entrance to Meadow's, 2 deer were standing in the grassy area and a couple was walking thier 2 German Shepards. The deer and the dogs were only a few feet apart just staring at eachother, the deer never moved just went about eating the grass. I seen alot of deer this trip but mostly at night or when I didnt have my camera The night shots didnt come out well enough to share. One evening there was about 10-12 all hanging out in front of the Settlement in the grass area.

Here are a few pics from that day. We ended the evening watching Hallowishes from the beach, and called it a day.

Sunday was a split day with FtW and MK EMH.
There is nothing like waking up and starting your day at the Fort
We started out our day my favorite way... with mickey pancakes and bacon Then we were off on our normal little routine of looping and heading over to the pool.
I had a southern smothered hot dog for lunch by the pool and the kids had pizza kids meals (which meant I got out of making lunch)

Then we headed down to the beach to play in the sand for a bit.

We stayed on the beach til evening time then went back to camp to have dinner..Roast with carrots and potatoes in the crockpot YUmmy!..
Then got ready to head over to MK for EMH

Absolutely terrific pics of the Fort. I especially love the ones of the kids playing in the sand. Those are my fave Magical Moments.
