My sisters and my neice were getting off the Magic at 8AM and they assured me that they would meet me at the Poly at9AM. I loadedthe luggage into the car again (Of course, under close supervision - with the supervisor telling me exactly where to put each bag [I know where I wanted to put them...] and yelling at me for being to rough with his stuff) and made the 10 minute drive to the Poly. I was very impressed with the Poly. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We checked in but our room wasn't ready. I had called earlier and rented an ECV because I have some trouble with my knee, and it was waiting for me when I got there. My sisters, my neice and I decided to go to Epcot while my uncle wanted to explore the resort - GOODBYE. I loved Epcot. My first ride was Figment and I even took my picture with the character. We took in some more rides and shows before leaving to go back to see if our room was ready. The room at the Poly was very nice, we had 2 adjoining rooms and the only problem was my roommate ( who had to find something to complain about so he told me the marble floor in the bathroom was slippery - give me a break) We decided to go to Downtown Disneyto shop and have dinner. I lost the coin toss and we took my uncle. I really enjoyed all the shops and even though it was quite crowded everything was fine. We had dinner at Fulton's Crab House and everyone enjoyed their meal (except one - guess who! - are you beginning to notice a recurring theme?). We wandered around for a while more and then around 9:30 or so decided to head back to the hotel. now, we use 2 cars, my sisters and neice in a rental and my uncle and myself in mine. Somehow I got seperated from them and missed my turn. I got lost (although I'll never admit it) and wound up by Seaworld. This lead to our last and biggest argument. He started yelling about my sister not waiting for us, my maps, my driving and just about everything else. He also yelled about me not using my cell phone to call my sisters for directions. (I had a point to prove - I could find my way back - and I did.) Unc said when he got into the car on Monday to go home he wasn't going to talk to me. I said he should start now. (I should have thought of that 3 days ago!) When I got back to the Poly he stormed out of my car, went to the room and went to sleep.
On Sunday we had a quick breakfast and went to the Magic Kingdom via the monorail. Grumpy decided to go to the pool. The Magic Kingdom was quite crowded but everything was alot of fun and I enjoyed it. That afternoon we went to MGM (I guess I was on a whirlwind tour) this was alot of fun, I liked the section that resembled NYC. (I was born and raised in Brooklyn and it was like being home again.) The shows were very realistic and quite entertaining. We went back to the Poly to have dinner at Kona Cafe. We had to wait about 45 minutes to be seated but the food was excellent so it made up for tit. By the way, I almost fell out of my chair when my uncle didn't find anything to complain about!
Monday morning came and I was dreading my trip home but my uncle stayed true to his word and didn't talk to to me until about 4PM. It was amusing watching him use hand signals to let my know he had to stop and I will say I missed a couple of signals (accidently on purpose) and made him wait longer than he wanted to. We stopped in NC around 6 and checked into a Days Inn (not my choice - his). I slept with 1 eye open for a couple of hours and we were back on the road by 3:30AM. This last day was uneventful and I arrived home around 4PM. My uncle got in his car and I haven't heard from him since. (3 weeks now).
Now, after my trip, as short as it was, and in spite of the ride down and up, I can honestly say that I understand the attraction and I will admit I am hooked. We are going to go back in early Dec.for 10 days. (I can't wait) So, if you are on I-95 South in early Dec. and you see a black SUV with NY plates (read them - you'll understand them) AND 1 OCCUPANT, smile and wave because that will be me heading to the happiest place on Earth!

P.S. To answer some questions- the surgery was without a doubt the best thing I could have done. I have been lucky and have had no problems (18 Months). I had an excellent surgeon and would recommend him to anyone. This surgery is by no means an easy way out, but it is a life altering, and in my case a life saving choice.

I am really glad you managed to have a good time even with the obstacles..I am so happy you took control of your weight-it is never easy. Six months ago my Dad weighed 540 lbs.He has lost 85 lbs and it is a daily struggle.Let us know how your next trip goes. :cheer2:
