My First Trip Home to SSR, the pain & obstacle in getting there! Complete TR w/Pics!

The rooms adjacent to the pool has the pool view or the lake view but even how close it is to a very busy location the place still looks serene…

This looks like the building we stayed in last September. Even though we were close to the pool, it wasn't noisey. I was sooooo glad.

I love how you are just spending time going around to visit the different resorts! We always make it a point to visit at least one new resort each trip; but you and DSIS are doing a great grand tour!

We will have to plan a BBQ on our next visit home.... yours looked like fun!!

As of right now I am booked from the 11th-17th, but that's bound to change if I can find cheaper airfare!! I'm like you, this is the first time I have come home NOT depressed, because I already have the next trip booked!

Aww- thanks for the compliments on Wes! That was his first trip to WDW, and we are thankful he will be walking when we go in Sept!

Great report and love the pictures. When we were there in March I had a LGMH on my backpack but did not see any Dissers during our stay. I was hoping to meet another Disser and Focker them.

It looks like you had yet another great trip! We decided to pass up the September trip this year in favor of an extra week in early December with the whole family, so we'll probably be there for a little more than two weeks!

I loved your pictures from Port Orleans French Quarter. We stayed there on our last night last October, and it was great.

I know I have your dates somewhere... but you can make my life easier if you just answer this post .. When in Sept are you going ??? Most Likely I will be back at The World on Sept 11th to the 15th POP for my solo trip then back with the tribe on Sept. 29 to Oct 6th SSR or OKW ... the reason why I ask is because.. I only got Ernie for $20 and thats not even on sale... I can get one for you and can either mail it for you at the Parks or to UK or if our dates overlap I can hand deliver it!!! Your thoughts... just want to share the joy of what Ernie brings everytime I check my album!!!

Many thanks for your offer, but if you could tell me the make I could try and find one on the web or buy one when we're out there (the less expensive ones in the UK tend to be a bit tacky, and then you have to start paying a lot of money for something reasonable). By the way we're at the SSR on 19th October for 10 days.

Glad to see you liked the POFQ. We stayed there last year. An absolutely marvelous hotel, and if we weren't now DVC members we'd probably be staying there again. Keep the photo's coming, we're loving them all.

Been reading your TR. great stuff! POFQ was the first and only time ive stayed on disney property (well, tech royal plaza is ON the property but not the same). It was so beautiful, and i loved that slide!

I can't believe we didn't see you once the whole trip! I love seeing all the pictures though. I never seem to have time to post trip reports. And I'm really starting to get jealous of all you guys going back to Pop in September. I wish we could squeeze in another trip, but we'll be in DL the end of October. Oh, well!

You have to try it atleast one time... if you have kids it is even better since they can jump in the pool come back to your pavillion when hungry and back to the pool. It is almost like life in the old school... and it is another way to inject restful leisurely time off for you and your family!!! Goodluck!

I use photobucket, I just realized they give you so much storage space that I have d/l 3 trippie pics alreayd and I have not even put a dent on the space alloted... good luck!!!

Awesome ! I might even see you at the airport then I fly in 9-11 also... where are you guys staying ??? Alot of us will be at POP and the end of my trip will be at OKW...

in my case I think they really are out there but ones they see my LGMH... they ran awa and hide I am just glad I did not scare Tinker away

I have to plan December trip sometime in my future, the last time I was there on a December was in 96-97 I think I am due...

I guess after tagging along with my parents when I was younger.. I am just happy to go back to WDW 2-3 times a year... I learned my lesson... I am happiest when I am at the Mouses House... so while other goes to WDW 1x then off to a cruise and oversees... I just go back to the World... and bday's and Xmas... I tell my family dont get me anything.. I got everything I need just give me disney dollars... $20 a person will do

hello disneymoon_0307 ... for some reason I know your nick... have you been to the exchange boards ??? I use to frequent it but got a bit busy with work that I recently stop exchanging... If you are staying at POP on the 19th - 24th make sure to check the threads that had been started .. theres party everynite at the Poolside bar/umbrella!!!
