My First Time

I will be in WDW for the very first time in May and I can't wait
I will be staying at the Pop. The Big Wheel, Floppy disk and Rubik's Cube brought back fond memories.

Thanks to my friend who is a WDW Disney expert I am all set each day at the parks. I didn't realize how much planning is involved. I leave it in her very capable hands.

I am a grown woman and I think I am going to cry the minute I see The Mouse

Welcome and congrats on your first trip!! If you want to avoid the worst of the lines, and see as much as possible, planning is essential! Nice to have a friend to help steer you in the right direction

If you want to do some reading, I like WDW- The Unofficial Guide. Great book with lots of info.
They also host the web site, Touringplans.com which you get for free if you buy the book.
I'd also look and familiarize yourself with park maps.

Congrats on your First Trip.... I agree with Sue. that is a great book. It's also something to get you a little bit more excited. I LOVED POP.... it was very nice resort. And May is a great time to go. I have gone 2 times the 2nd week in May and the crowds were great weather was great. GOOD LUCK and Have a great time on your first trip....

That's awesome and great to hear ...you will have a wonderful time I'm sure. The Unofficial Guide is a great suggestion -you can even find a like new version on eBay for cheap money. It will help you understand the parks better. My best advice for a first timer --Arrive Early(and with some type of plan)!!!

Congrats on your first trip!! Disney is a special place indeed! Pop is a great resort!

And, despite the fact that this is my 8th trip (been going since I was 7), I still cry every time I arrive there!

Oh, you are going to have sooo much fun! I'm also staying at the POP but, not until June. Are you going solo or do you have family/friends with you? I agree with the others, plan as much as you can ahead of time! I plan my park days and dining on an Excel spreadsheet (it's ok if you laugh), it works for me . How many days with you be there? Just remember you won't be able to see everything; so pick what you feel you absolutely need to see and go from there .... Enjoy yourself!

You will find yourself standing in front of those huge icons just laughing to yourself.

You should expect more than one moment of emotional display, just wait until you are standing in the MK and Wishes begins...flood gates open.

At MK walk up about half way on main street just before the street clock on the left and have the CM Photographer take one of you with the castle behind you. Priceless!!!!!!
