My first PTR..May 2011 anyone out there??

Oops.. guess I have to format the pictures.. Sorry for that..

So let's get to it.. I think we are on day 3?? So we have Mk, and HS and a break....Decided that on day 3 we would NOT go to any park.. So.. what should we do??? I am hoping for some down time.. Maybe hang out at the pool for part of the day? Maybe do some shopping at DTD?? I made sure to make ressies at my favorite resort (where one day my dream to stay again) the POLY, to eat at Ohanas, at 7:30pm.. I am so excited about this .. It's been years since we have eaten at the Poly.. and I know it may sound crazy, but just driving up to it I take a huge breath in and the smell brings me right back to my first time being at WDW when I was 7 and all the memories I shared with my parents and my brother all the times we went back there it really is like Magic (since dad is not with us anymore it really is so special to me to be there)..

I am in a dilemma.. So.. Logan can be a bit of a handful, as he is an only child he rules the roost most of the time.. It seems that he has our number.. however, 100% of the time we are with someone else.. like grandparents or uncles/aunts etc he is SO good.. This time its just us:eek:.. So, I am afraid if I overbook us on parks that he could turn into a little monster.. So what I did was.. even though we are staying 8 nights/9 days I only booked a 5 day hopper.that way we would have some breaks in between to just veg if we wanted.. however, I am thinking that I may add the water/park option to our pass.. Now, what I have read and please confirm or deny for me is that if you have a 5 day hopper the water park option is good for 5 days as well.. but, even if you use all of your park parts of your hopper you still have the water park option left? I was thinking one of those day absolutely we would go to a water park.. I think Logan would LOVE it..
Even to use it for Disney Quest.. Logan loves all kinds of interactive games..
Something to think about...
Ok so I guess I will throw in Day 4.. because this is a huge Dilemma day.. this day is Sat. May 7th, which coincidentally enough is the Everest Exibition Run.. Now.. I am NOT a runner.. But, prior to getting sick over the summer, I had started to get into working out and I was losing weight, then I got sick lost 20lbs in 2 weeks:eek: ( you think you would be excited about that, but when it happens so quickly is not fun at all) and my eating and digestion was all screwed up.. I have started to gain weight back ( could be because I only ate cheese and pizza and pasta for 2 months:rolleyes1) But have not started to work out again. I want to get back into it in a couple of weeks and if I can do it without :rolleyes1 alot of discomfort then I think I would love to do the Exhibition Everest run.. 1 major problem is.. i don't want to do it by myself, but Doug can't do it because he will have to watch Logan.. But, as one of my dreams has always been to run the boston marathon (I grew up watching my dad run it multiple times) I figured starting my journey out running a race at WDW would be perfect.. And, it seems like it was meant to be as I had already made my Ak day on the 7th..
OK, more later, I need to get my little man dressed for school and I have just set myself back 20 minutes..:scared1:

Subbing :) We have a couple days overlap in trips--we will be at Pop Apr 30-May 7

Logan is adorable!
Thanks for joining!! You are coming on our 11th Anniversary:lovestruc..:lovestruc

I would love to have a DIS meet-up.. I think that would be so fun.. Theres alot of folks on here going the same time..
Thanks about Logan he is a keeper!:rotfl:

That would be so neat if you do the run, a unique vacation experience! I am planning on running a 5K at the end of May so you can bet I will be utilizing the jogging path and gym at CSR on vacation, my dream is to run the Princess 1/2 marathon and then the WDW marathon in a few years time. :thumbsup2

Love the photo for the Christmas card....to cute.

I really don't think you'll have a lot of problems with Logan. He is going to be so thrilled and excited to be at Disney and so well occupied. I'm not sure about the water park option, etc., as we hven't gone to a water park since 2000.

So I had a little time (like 10 minutes) and I went to online dining and just for giggles put in all kinds of restaurants.. and they are all available.. Arghh.. now I don't know what to do.. because I want to try so many other restaurants that i haven't before and with of our days have breakfast ADR's and 2 of those day we are not going to parks I figured I could fit in another dinner.. But now what to choose??? Oh My..
Boma?
Beirgarden
LA Hacienda
Via Napoli
Flying Fish
I just don't know.. Mind you.. I am the foody.. Hubby and son could care less.. So any ideas???

It would help if we knew what you've already booked (or did I miss that?). We love Boma for breakfast--the best non-character buffet for breakfast on Disney property. We also love Biergarten. We've not done LaHacienda because I don't eat Mexican food; Flying Fish we've avoided because it is a signature restaurant and two credits per person. Now, Via Napoli had not opened or was just opening when they were there. My best friend here on the DIS who we go to see every year in Naples (and who we are possibly traveling with this coming year to Disney) and her hubby (oh, by the way, Nicki is the FOOD QUEEN here on the DIS) went to Via Napoli three times and LOVED IT!

HAHAAHA.. You can tell that I am newbie to this whole PTR stuff.. I thought that I put all my ADR's down?? Hmmm.. I need to go back and look.. Apparently my intention was to get out all my adr's but instead I started at day 1 and only got to day 3.. I will have to post later as I am getting ready for work and don't have enough time..

That would be a blast! I will be there with DH, DD25, turning 26, and DD8, turning 9--this is a birthday trip for my girls, even though we are a little late for my older DD--Her birthday is Easter, and I didn't want to deal with those crowds or prices! :)

So, all this time I have been writing my PTR, and HELLO I never wrote down my days or all of my Adr's.. that is a BIG DUHHH (and here I was wondering why no one was joining in my journey:confused3) haha

SO.. here it is: for those of you who are still here:rotfl:
May 4th arrival day.. MK and LTT
May 5th (Cinco Da Mayo, staying away from Mexico:rotfl2:) HS. lunch 50's Prime and "Dessert" Sci -Fi.
May 6th Day of Rest.. Dinner at Ohana's
May 7th.. AK day and dinner at Yak and Yeti
May 8th.. Mothers Day.. Lunch at Le Cellier
May 9th No park.. dinner at Il Mulino
May 10th.. Back to MK and Crystal Palace for Breakfast
May 11th. Water park? But breakfast at 1900 park Fare
May 12th (Departure Day :sad2:) Breafast at Chef Mickeys..

So as you can see I have a wide variety of times and places to eat.. I wanted to focus all the Character meals for the end of our trip.. But, now as I look at all the ADR's together I realize that either I am missing another day at the park or I need another ADR or 2..
I decided to do my PTR by day and that way it wouldn't all be lumped in together, guess that is why I never wrote down all of my Days at the beginning..
So, again... I am totally open to anyones suggestions.. I just want to make this the best trip that it can be.. For all of us.. Here is another Logan picture enjoy..
049.jpg
HAHA. wonder where he learned that from:rolleyes1
Next Up.. Day 5.. MOther's Day..

Logan loves the girls.. all girls young and older.. :rotfl:..Well we wanted to make it there for our 10 year anniversary.. just a year short..

If you are looking for another character meal you should try Tusker House for Donalds Safari breakfast. My kids love this meal--we do it every year! :)

Your ADRs look good to me!

And thanks for the heads up about Cinco de Mayo! I wasn't even thinking about that... now I have to decide if we want to embrace Mexico in its potential craziness or avoid it all together... hmmm...

About the water park thing.

I am almost certain that if you get the water park option with 5 day park hoppers, you can only use your water park option on one (or all) of those 5 days.

Hmmm.. thats what I thought too.. but, how it was explained to me is.. if you get a 5 day hopper and with that you get the waterpark option you have 5 days on the hopper and 5 days on the water park option.. I thought the deal sounded too good to be true.. But, I need confirmation..

You are right...if you get a 5 day hopper, plus the waterpark and more option you have 5 seperate waterpark or DQ entries to use before your 14 day period is up. You do not have to use them within the 5 days that you use your park tickets. So this means you could spend the first 5 days in any of the 4 parks and then spend the next 5 days in the waterparks or DQ to use all of your visits. :) Hope I explained this so it makes sense...

Really? Wow I did not know that.

HAHA.. yes.. I said to DH " hey its Cinco De Mayo should we chance it and go for margaritas in mexico?" I got a resounding " NO".. HAHA.. However, I would be willing to meet up to get a margarita somewhere else?? I just realized.. i am staying at Coronado.. DUH.. I should make ressies there for drinks?? Hmmmmmm..

Thank you so much for this info.. I am definitely thinking that I will add this option to our tickets.. Even though DS is only going to be 5 I think he will LOVE DQ and then if its hot just hanging at a Water Park may be nice.. We have 4 days with out parks so that leaves us with a lot of time to do other things..

Ok So this week life has gotten in the way of continueing with the PTR. .Why is this part of the year SO busy??? I will be very happy once February is over.. After Christmas, and New Years, its my little buddy's 5th Birthday and then 3 weeks later its DH's 40th:eek:.. Then I have 2 a month and a half to pay off Disney.. Hmmmmmm.. a daunting task to say the least.. haha

Ok so.. I think that I left off at MOTHER'S DAY..
I just have to say having been a mom for just 5 short years this will be the first year that I will be doing exactly what I want to do.. I planned a mid-afternoon lunch at Le Cellier.. I know there have been LOTS of bad reviews of this restaurant, but it is by far the favorite that I have gone too and there is NO where else that I would want to eat on my Day.. Mother's Day is usually spent with us running around.. So, I planned for our ADR's to be at 2:30.. So, we can get to Epcot early or later and not feel rushed.. Of if i decide, I can make a ADR at the salon or Spa at the Coronado before we go for lunch.. I think about Pretzel bread all the time:yay:..
The last time we went Logan was only 2 and he was too small for some of the rides.. So this year I most definitely want to get him on Soarin.. test track (he is OBSESSED with Cars).. and I am really in to creating lasting memories so I would love for him to get a passport and get to all the countries.. WE will see how that goes..
The last time I was at Le Cellier we had a perfect ressie time.. we got out of dinner just in time for Illuminations. We had the perfect area to watch.. I am thinking this time we may be lucky to see it.. We will see how much we get done.. This day I was thinking that I may add another ADR (quite strange that 2 days ago I went online and almost everywhere was not booked up).. I am thinking now maybe Via Napoli?? La Hacienda or Beirgarden.. I think that I need to talk to DH and see what he thinks.. Although, who am I kidding, he doesn't care at all.. He will say, just tell me where I have to be..
(No picture today) Have no more on my camera.. haha
UP next.. NO park.. What to do????[/I]
