I've really done it -- I just booked my first solo trip. And it will also be my first split stay! I'm so excited to be trying out Pop Century (another first) and ... The Contemporary! Yes, my first time at a deluxe! This is all about firsts!

Oh my, where to go from there? I think I'll plan...

Dinner (not brunch, for a change) at Ohana. And let's see, I could get there by water taxi from Magic Kingdom and then get back "home" to The Contemporary on the monorail. Firsts.

Walking to RD at MK. Definitely a first.

Taking a daily midday break back at both resorts, just to see if I can return to each park and stay through to closing at least once -- a magical experience I've never had! Yep, newbie here. What you're seeing here is a reformed commando...

Meals at Les Chefs, Rose and Crown and Akershus, 50s Prime Time, Yak and Yeti AND Tiffins (in one day), and Skipper Canteen. I love my travel buddy DD and we've had wonderful times, but her picky eating habits have limited my choices for a loooong time!

Kilimanjaro Safaris at dusk, Tree of Life Awakenings, and maybe (chicken that I am) EE after dark. If I survive that, maybe ToT after dark, too. I've even read that Living with the Land is different (even creepy) at night.

Let's play Fantasy Solo Trip -- what are some things you've always longed to do but have had to put off, and put off again, and finally put into your dream trip (you know, the one you plan in your mind's eye during those endless work meetings)?

Around the world tour of Disney:
DVC VB-EB Trans Atlantic DCL-Disney Paris-Disney Asia China/HK/Japan-DVC Alunai-DVC GCV-DL-DVC HH-DVC Orlando
All in one trip paid for with my DVC points.

How about taking the Keys to the Kingdom tour? It's a bit pricey, so DH and I opted for the Marceline one, but if you have plenty of time(6-7 hours) I've heard nothing but rave reviews about that tour!!!!

It's really cool at night! But definitely a little creepy...when we rode during EMH, we were the only people in our boat so it was like our own little private backstage tour.

okay probably should know but what is this?
RD - Rope Drop, meaning being at MK before the park opens and watch the train pull up to the main entrance, watch the pre-opening show, and then getting into the park when the rope drops.

thanks - yes did do this years ago but not recently

my first (at least hope to) is Frozen at Epcot -

5th solo trip and trying for the first time:

Restaurant Marrakesh for dinner
Skipper Canteen for lunch
Tomorrowland Dessert Party at MK, kind of pricey ($79) but I will try it at least once.

Whenever I make it back down to WDW on a solo trip I want to try more of the restaurants. I loved my 2015 trip with my mom (and we did HDDR for the first time, which was wonderful), but in general she didn't want to do much of anything fancy for food, and she doesn't care for character experiences. While I'm not one to spend half my park day in a restaurant, I think I'd like to do at least one TS every other day, if not every day. I'd especially like to try Ohana, Boma, Yak and Yeti, and Biergarten.
