My first ever pre-trip report!

Ok so me, my mum and my boyfriend are off to Florida on August 3rd and I'm very excited so I though it was about time I did a pre trip report!!!

I do also intend on doing a live one whilst i am there beings we will have free wifi!!

So I'm Kel (Kerry) 23 years old will be turning 24 on the way home :-| I will celebrate whilst we are out there though!

I actually don't have many recent pictures but I have had 2 nose jobs since this was taken and I've lost just over 4 stone so bare with me and I will try to post a more recent one soon

This is my wonderful, amazing mum!!!

We don't actually have many plans set in stone! As I'm a firm believer in being spontaneous and I don't like plans nor does my mum or partner so at least we all agree haha!

The only actual plans we have are:

Get the Gatwick flyer to the airport during the early hours of the 03/08/13 have a nice big breakfast - not sure where though haha! But we will find somewhere. Then when we arrive pick up the car head straight for the hotel (Art of Animation Resort) check in then go for a swim before bed!

Day 1 is always seaworld as Disney is quite overwhelming and manic for day 1 and what with the jet lag sea world is always as first port of call, as there are lots of shows to watch and therefore more downtime for us, we will stay until closing as we like the fireworks after shamu rocks always a magical end to the first day!

The only other day we actually have planned is our discovery cove day!! (So excited as none of us have ever been) which is on the 14th August so the middle of the second week. We will be there well before it opens to book an early swim just incase a storm brews!

In between will just be what ever we feel like doing in the morning, although we will probably do Universal studios and islands of adventure on the Thursday/Friday of the first week and Busch the start of the second week!

We have no dining planned we normally just ask on the day and see if any cancellations have been made and have been quite lucky! And to be honest we all love the rides so much that its more about doing as many of these as possible!

Oh wow! AKL your so lucky!! This is a dream for me! Our holiday cost £2,197 each there was no way we could have afforded AKL (maybe one day, we can only dream) your very lucky to be staying there, but I guess anyone who goes to Disney is lucky regardless to where they stay!

I read your report yesterday and was going to write on it, but my nan and grandad turned up then about an hour later my cousin turned up and stayed until late so I never ended up coming back on!

I must admit if we had a dining plan we would certainly do it differently to how we are this time, but we don't really eat that much whilst we are there! And I don't want to gain all the weight I've lost so its probably best that we don't have the dining plan lol!

We may bump into you while we are there who knows!

We paid £5700 for the both of us, but that include out flight tickets, and the dining plan! We are also flying with virgin!

The only reason we did the dining plan is because it was included for "free" when we booked! I have lost 2st so far so a little worried about gaining weight, but we are like you, eat very little when we are there so I will probably be leaving most of my food! You have done amazingly on your weightloss! Well done!

I think that's the same kind of price it was have been for us per person for animal kingdom but add another £2,850 for the 3rd person! I would have loved to have done it but could no way afford the extra! My job (Childcare) is quite possibly one of the worst paid jobs ever! Haha!

Lets be fair as well with the food you'll be doing sooooo much walking that you'll more than likely loose weight whilst out there! (That's what I'm hoping for me anyway lol). And thanks its been hard and I still have at least another stone to loose before my trip in August! Well done on your weightless to

Loose another stone
Buy some more clothes
Book the Gatwick flyer!
Buy our photo pass +
Save more money then change it all into $'s
Buy some new SD cards for the camera!
But a spare battery or 2 for each camera!

Indeed I have Always said us Childcare workers do it through passion and love for the job! It's certainly not about the money! And that makes us super awesome! :-D although I must say I'd much rather the pay be higher! It's a harder job than people think! They think you just play all day :-/ If only!!

I agree. I sometimes think my daughter loves the girls at nursery more than half her family. At the risk of sounding like I'm trying to get rid of her i wish we could afford to send her another day of the week as she looks forward so much to her days there.

Aww that's sweet we have a few parents that say that to us to that their children enjoy nursery so much that sometimes they think they enjoy it more at nursery than at home! But to us that's a compliment!! It's nice to know that even though we are poorly paid we are appreciated and that means more than money

Today me and my partner paid over the remaining money into my mums account and in a little while my mum shall be on the phone to kenwood travel to pay of the last of the money £5903! It hurt drawing out £3133 in cash :-O and handing it over to my mum! Sooooo much cash to hold! Then give away in seconds :-/ but its worth every penny within an hour the whole holiday will be paid off! In full, and we will also be booking the Gatwick flyer and sorting out our visa's for the holiday! oh yes!!!!

Gatwick flyer booked £38 each not bad! And thats with 2 extra bags on route home

Extra luggage on virgin £64 for 2 extra bags happy days? Just for to sort the visa and photo pass plus out and we are all sorted!

We are also finalising the last few things! I need tosend off my passport to be changed into my married name! I then have to book Photopass Plus, Tomorrowland Dessert Party and do our Esta! Also thinking of booking horse riding at the wilderness lodge! Agh! So much to do on top of wedding planning!

Very exciting that's going to be weird seeing your new surname on your passport *exciting* and although its a lot of things to do plus wedding planning both are going to be so amazing that its got to be worth it :-D

My fella just won some money on the roulette so we just put another £50 in the food pot, £20 in my savings pot and his kept the other £50 to get himself some decent flip flops/sandals for the holiday! Now we just need to win our bets on the horses today and that's more money towards the holiday :-D

Something rather funny happened today, I was out at our local leisure area and we have a Hollywood bowl there, I called a cab so we could go home and this is how it went!

Cab firm: "hello where would you like your taxi to collect you from?"

Me: "Hollywood studios please"

Cab firm: "I'm sorry where?"

Me: "Hollywood.......bowl, I'm so sorry I meant Hollywood bowl"

Cab firm: laughter "it's ok you made me laugh at least"

I was soooo embarrassed, forget the term baby brain! I have Disney brain LOL

Thought I'd post a little update, we have finally booked and paid for the Gatwick flyer and the extra baggage for the way home so now all we need is the insurance, Visa's, and our photopass plus :-D feels good to have ticked a couple of things off of the list!!

Also at work we had someone come over from one of the other nurseries, turn out they are going out on the 2nd for 2 weeks, and we fly out on the 3rd for 2 weeks, small world indeed! No doubt we will but into each other out there, considering everyone I've been I have bumped into someone I know!
