My FIRST EVER August 2012 PTR :) (Updated 08/13)

Never rode Rock 'n Roller Coaster, but love TOT and DBF is terrified of it- will probably be with you on that one and riding single rider for that!

Suggestions: Our can't miss HS is attraction is the Muppet 3D Movie, it never gets old and we still crack up - and also Star Tours, since we love Star Wars, this is a must do!

And I LOVE your idea about the pins! Really cute- I love the nerds

My girls will be collecting autographs and possibly getting some pressed pennies but I havent collected anything since I was a kid and I want to have something to show for my time there other than just pictures. I'm stuck between pins and vinylmations. I think the vinylmations might be cuter and easier to display in a possibly disney themed kitchen or bathroom.

I felt the same way about wanting something meaningful to bring back to remember my trip so I decided to go ahead and start trading - I watched a TON of youtube videos about it too . Vinylmations are quite cute and I would collect those instead I just don't have the room for them! haha.

And I second the suggestion for Muppet Vision 3D. One of my other favorite things to do at DHS is the drawing class. I'm pretty awful at drawing, but even I can end up drawing something that actually resembles the character by following along. Plus it's inside and air conditioned, so that's always a plus, right? One trip, I ended up going like four or five times!

And Fantasmic! is awesome! I saw it for the first time this past trip (I'd seen it at Disneyland, but not WDW) and I was so thrilled! Definitely worth waiting the two hours I ended up waiting.

I've actually never done the drawing class so maybe i'll have to stop there too... i am atrocious at drawing though . and TWO votes now for muppet vision 3d? that means i just have to see it! I've never really given it much thought so i'm excited to see what it's like!

and yes!! i absolutely LOVE fantastic... this is probably the at the top of my overall trip to do list! i just can't ever miss fantastic or the trip isn't complete

PARK PLANS: ANIMAL KINGDOM

(please excuse the rather unflattering pictures of me, it always rains on our AK days... ahhh the wonders it does to my hair... )

ahhhh... so we're nearing the end of the park plans part of this PTR.. its now time to talk about the animal kingdom!!

I hope I don't offend anyone when I say this buuuut.. animal kingdom is NOT one of my favourite parks... actually it's probably my least favourite park of all EEK don't feed me to the lions for saying that!! ...It probably stems from the fact that i'm just not an outdoors-y type person at all, or the fact that every time i've been there it's rained BUCKETS the WHOLE time (I think my family and I are an omen to that park)

Although the animal kingdom isn't MY favourite park there are many things I still like about it (it's still disney after all and all things disney have a place in my heart). I really love the ride dinosaur and camp minnie mickey is absolutely the BEST for meeting characters i've had a lot of luck there in the past! I also love the festival of the lion king!

My brother absolutely loves the animal kingdom and always makes us ride the kilimanjaro safari at least once every trip!

Unfortunately, besides those attractions i've listed... we haven't seen much else of the AK (crazy, i know!) I'd love to try everest this trip as well as the kali river rapids! Any other suggestions for me?

We're not positive yet which day we will be visiting the animal kingdom yet, and i'm sure it will only be a half day there at most but we will most likely be visiting on our last full day there... monday the 27th. We have and ADR at T-rex that evening and we want to hit typhoon lagoon at least twice so depending on weather we'll probably only spend a few hours there and then make our way of to TL... or vise versa!

either way we NEED to stop at flame tree BBQ... i've heard far too many positive reviews about this QS to NOT stop there! yumyumyum!

also, this time around i'll be sitting on the OTHER side of the car in dinosaur! ​

I'm a huge fan of Finding Nemo: The Musical at AK. If you're a fan of the movie and/or a fan of a theatrical productions, then I would highly recommend it! It''s a must do for me, at least. But then, I love the movie and I love musicals, so I think it's a perfect combination of things I love.

LIFE UPDATE #2:
sorry for the lack of action going on in the PTR lately I've been up to quite a lot!
I have to register for my 3rd year university courses this weekend which has been stressful..also things have gone completely nutty at work with the upheaval and removal of most of our bosses it's been a stress especially since i have no idea who my new boss is and I've already requested my august vacation time with ANOTHER boss so i don't know how that is going to work out.. but fret not! this trip isn't going anywhere! I will be taking this vacation whether anyone likes it or not!

I don't know if any of you care but I recently went to the MMVA's here in toronto (Much Music Video Awards for those of you who've never heard of it!).
It was a blast I got to see and meet so many people!
here are a few highlight pictures of that day (please note i didn't get a whole lot of great shots because I was pretty busy doing other things!):

I need to start working on my touring plans and lime green mickey heads! anyone have any tips?? hmmm maybe that's what my next post will be about!

Don't feel bad, my parents and I were pretty bored at AK in 2004. EE wasn't even built yet, and Dinosaur was closed all day so we were kinda like . I think we rode Primeval Whirl, Kilimanjaro Safari, saw the Lion King, and got SOAKED on Kali River.. that was pretty much it.. then we left. I'm looking forward to it a little more on this trip since I haven't been in 8 years! I think everyone in my party will really like Dinosaur and EE. I'm sure we'll skip Kali River unless Matt and I wear board shorts that day. I cant STAND walking around in wet shorts! Bleh!

I posted a pic in my PTR of the LGMH I made! It's a ghetto job but it works!!

Hahahaha I can't stand walking around in wet clothes either so I'm wearing a bikini under my rompers to all of the parks to make it easier to dry off!

in all honesty I'm just not a huge outdoorsy type person so no matter how great the rides the park itself just isn't a theme I enjoy - Who knows though maybe I'll give it another shot and totally change my mind like I have with epcot!

I love you LGMH! its awesome! It gave me some ideas for my own!

NEWS SPECIALISTS CAN CONFIRM THAT THE TICKER DOES NOT LIE AND IT STATES THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE MONTH AND TWO WEEKS LEFT IN THIS PAINFULLY LONG WAIT. OUR NEWS TEAM CAN ALSO CONFIRM THAT IT IS NOW TIME TO PARTY!

hahaha okay enough with this silliness and on to a real update!

PARK PLANS: WATER PARKS

I've said it once and I'll say it again... this family SERIOUSLY loves their disney water parks!! Once we got our first taste of typhoon lagoon we knew we were addicted - we always have the best time in the giant wave pool and all of the crazy slides! we're hoping to be able to visit the water parks twice on our last two days... or if we get too tired and hot than we'll go in the middle of a park day!

I won't bore you with what we will and won't ride because... well... we ride just about everything there is at the water parks!

it's tradition for me to eat a GIANT chilli dog! YUM! we love typhoon tilly's and leaning palms

we always do a little shopping at the water parks as well! usually for souvenirs for family and some super cute towels!

later on during the water park days we always head home, get cleaned up and have a TS dinner somewhere (this trip it will most likely be planet hollywood and T-REX cafe) and then head over to whichever park is open latest!

when headed to a water park we will pack:
sunscreen
benadryl (yes, i'm allergic to water...)
olympus waterproof digital camera
and a waterproof bag with all of our KTTWC's and money! (which of course we keep in lockers) ....we pack SERIOUSLY lightly for the water parks in fear that something important might get wet!

NOW the important question i have is... do any of you know of make-up that is waterproof/resistant? i have this problem a lot!

well... i guess this ends my park plans segment of this PTR and now on to... bigger and better things? NEXT UP will most likely be another shopping excursion as well as some botchy looking LMGH's... WISH ME LUCK! (I'm the WORST at crafts!)

Tomorrow I'm headed off to medieval times and a tenacious D concert as an early birthday gift to my brother and I from our lovely mother (of course I chose medieval times... hahaha I'm such a kid... and my brother chose tenacious D ) I'm sure it will be a blast!! We'll be going shopping so I'm sure i'll go crazy on the trip clothes and I'll be here fridayish to show you everything I got!

Haha thank you!! and thank you again!! I've got a whole bunch of new bikinis for this trip but I'm still bringing along my trusty ol' one piece! (it's best for the slides!). Awww! it's a shame you can't go again - I once had a boyfriend who wasn't a water person either so I know the feeling. Yes!! it's so close i can practically taste it! . We are ALL paid!! ...I probably should have made a post about that.. but now you all know!

SHOPPING TRIP/REAL LIFE UPDATES

Sooo, as I let you all know I went shopping yesterday! Unfortunately it was NOT as eventful as I had hoped it would be... We ended up only being able to shop for about an hour because of terrible traffic! however I did pick a few things up for myself!

firstly, this CUTE new bikini! ...okay okay so it doesn't match... at all.. but I just LOVED the bottoms and finding a top is just so hard for me because well... XL isn't generally a size bikini companies make for some strange reason (ps. my bottoms are a size small.. so clearly I'm a little disproportionate ) The bottoms were from PINK by victorias secret.. and as you can see on the tag.. the top was from... BARBIE... for women! too cute!

next I got myself a cozy long sleeve shirt, I figure this might be nice for evenings at the parks when it cools down a little outside making the attractions pretty cold! It's really nothing special, just baggy, loose, and comfy!

finally, I got a new pin! I'm obsessed lately, i know! I just love stitch !

Well that's all I've got for today because I'm headed out for a looooong weekend at work *sigh* I'll be back monday with some fun updates for you all!
