My first CVSing experience

I am starting to get into couponing this year. I started my first official day by going to CVS. I had checked websites and made my list of what I needed to get.

SO here it is:

3 boxes of Nature Valley Granola Bars 3/10
1 Airwick warmer unit 1.49
1 small bag Skittles .89
2 Airwick mini refills 10.00
1 Airwick unit 5.00
1 Airwick 2 pack oil refills 5.00
1 small bag hershey's drops 1.59
2 20 oz Diet Cokes 3.18
Total: 37.15


I used these coupons:
B1G1 Diet Coke -1.59
1 CVS 4 off 15 order -4.00
1 Airwick 4 off unit -4.00
1 free warmer -1.49
2 Nature Valley -1.00
1 Airwick refill -1.00
B1G1 Airwick mini refill -5.00

Total: -18.08 (49% savings)

Used 10.50 in extra bucks

Paid 8.57 OOP before taxes (77% savings)

I got 17.48 in extra bucks and another 4 off 15 coupon to use for next time

Not bad for the first attempt

That's awesome. One of my goals for 2011 is to start buying at CVS. We just got one close by so I really have no excuse not too atleast give it a try. Now I just need to get organized enough to do it!

I have one walking distance and am just starting to look at it seriously. I signed up for their weekly emails and they send me 4 or 5 off coupons each week. Some are good like 4 off 15 others are not so good like 5 off 50. I also bought one of those green tags last year around Earth day for 99 cents and got 99 cents in EB for it. So they scan each time I shop and after 4 scans they give me 1 EB. Also I looked up deals on couponing 101 first so I knew what I wanted.

Good job, OP! A Full Cup also has a really useful list for most drugstores, supermarkets and chains that matches coupons to sales, as well as a coupon database.
