This is my first picture upload on Disboards. I tried to resize and hope they are ok.....

The top picture contains some of the characters, etc. I've made with my cricut and Disney cartridge. I did several of each character while I had all the particular colored paper ready.

The bottom picture has 2 Animal Kingdom toppers I made after seeing the one
alexwyattmommy posted of Adventureland. I used the ZooBallo cartridge for the title box, vines, grass and letters. I used the Animal Kingdom cartridge for the tree top and bottom (cut out several animals at 1 inch). I added Mickey, a lizard and bird from an EK Success sticker set.

Those are adorable!! I hope you don't mind me scraplifting! I really have been wanting the AK cartridge. Looks like I "need" it! :thumbsup2

WOW, I love the Animal Kingdom topper. Did it take long to make it? I can't wait to get the Disney character cartridge. Very nice, thanks for sharing.

I really want one. I just showed my husband the post and he just doesn't understand.

I love it!!! 2 more weeks and I'll know if DH gets enough bonus money to buy a Cricut!!!
I love the Mickey Pants journal box and the AK toppers. Very cool!!

They are super cute! Thanks for sharing (and making those of us without the Cricut really really really wish we had one.) :)

WOW!
That looks nothing like mine. Yours is sooo cool!! I will be taking your idea for my own book. Thank you so much for sharing.

Just got my character font from the store today... didnt even know they were out... just thought i would look.. just in case for anything new.. and omg! there was! (when the cricut was just being released... i wrote suggestion that they do a disney font... as i am sure MANY others did) and I am SOOOO excited!

hope mine look as good as those shown below! too bad i cant play as much with mine... got to study for school!!!

Hanover, your Animal Kingdom topper is beautiful! I don't think that I am savvy enough to scraplift it, but I think that I may try. Thanks for sharing. :thumbsup2

Those are great!! I have both of those cartridges, I may have to try those. ;)

I haven't played with mine enough. When you put the layers on the characters do you use the same size as the bottom piece?

Momx3
Yes, use the same size.. it layers so it will adjust the size automatically.. just the sliver of an inch...

Thank you all for the nice comments.

The AK toppers really only should have taken about 15 minutes each to do, but took about 2 hours total. I had not used either cartridge before and instead of looking at the guidebooks I kind of did trial and error cuts of my own (thus I probably threw way too many errors away) I also had to experiment with the pressure and speed buttons because the cardstock I used had various thickness (threw more errors away from shredding some cardstock). I've only had the cricut about 6 weeks (whenever it was on sale at Michaels) and I'm still getting used to the shift/layer buttons for specific cuts. The easiest part was the Tree of Life. I cut out several trees at 2 inches and a couple at one inch and used a photo split to hold them together, cutting off the bottom. I then cut out the animals I thought looked most like the ones you'd see in AK...lions, rhinos, elephants, monkeys, hippos, giraffes and I did the kangaroo because it was tiny and looked good...at one inch and stacked those to look like the base of the tree. The letters were all cut at 1 inch (shadow and regular). I used a Creative Memories glue/adhesive pen and tweezers to put those together. The grass and vines I did follow the guidebook for and they went quickly.

I have found that the CM glue pen works quite well and shows the least of anything I have used adhesive wise. Even the small CM taperunner tape is too big for a lot of the character parts and letters I have done.

Thanks again for all the nice words,
Danielle

Those look fabulous! I just got the Mickey and Friends for Mother's Day. I'm lovin' it. I don't have Animal Kingdom, though. I've seen some cute AK trees done with that. Do you think a Tree of Life could be done with any of the ZooBalloo animals, or would that just not look right?
