I am nearly there! :moped: 21 days and I am off, and can't wait!!! :cheer2:  :Pinkbounc

Just wondering whether anyone can tell me whether these days to visit the theme parks are any good!! :flower:

Arrive 1st July - Check out accommodation AKL!!!! (p.s's/adr at Boatwrights - one of my favourites!!) :goodvibes

2nd July - Animal Kingdom (p.s's/adr's at Rainforest Cafe for dinner!) :teeth:

3rd July - MGM (p.s's/adr's at Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Package) :bounce:

4th July - Really early start :rolleyes1 - Magic Kingdom (not necessarily to do the rides - just to take in the atmosphere then back relatively early to a lazy day around the pool!!) p.s's/adr for Ohana's to hopefully get a good view of the fireworks!

5th July - Seaworld at the moment but not sure yet! Probably try and book the Shark Grill for dinner :earseek:

Only other day confirmed is 7th - Discovery Cove :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

All opinions greatly received!

you're going to the AK on satuday which means GET THERE EARLY.
the AK in july is a hell hole by noon. The design of the park makes it HOT even on a normal day of the year, but during July it's cruel and unusual punishment to be there past noon, especially on a saturday.

I've heard the 4th is terrible but I don't know. Last year we were at USF on the 4th and the year before that on the disney cruise.
On the other hand, the fireworks on the 4th are supposed to be out of this world.

as for sea world, since we hate the place naturally I can't give you advice there.

discovery cove was fun (though we only stayed for about 3 hours- we swam with the dolphins, swam in the lazy river, ate lunch and left).

Looks good to me :)

I can tell by the way you have worded your post you are anticipating July 4th to be busy! You are right there - I wonder if one of the other parks might be better than MK though? Epcot handles crowds much better than MK does :)

Check on askdaisy.net under park updates for a list of busy, average and quietest days to visit the parks.

Your first few days are quite similar to mine.....

We arrive 30 June...

1 July - AKL

2 July - Magic Kingdom (yes, I know its a weekend BUT....) princess:

3 July - Kennedy Space Centre - son's choice for his brithday then dinner at Chef Mickeys ::MickeyMo

4 July - we're planning on resting or shopping (should be some good July 4th bargains) :goodvibes

5 July - Sea World - same as you - we've booked dinner with Shamu. :sunny:

Its getting so close now isn't it.....

Thanks for your responses and advise :cheer2:

Miffy2003 - Yes I am expecting MK to be extremely busy, :crowded: but I just wanted to see it on the 4th - Don't know why!!! :confused3

Mumof2 - Shopping for bargins appeals on the 4th, maybe we will copy you and do that too!! :goodvibes I suppose it all depends on the weather that day - I am keeping my fingers crossed that we see some sun in the 2 weeks that we are there. :sunny: Having read some posts regarding the weather recently I am getting a little worried!! :umbrella:

Good plan!! :wizard:

The fireworks on the 4th of July are just awesome!!!! The best i have ever seen!!! But it was incredibly busy on the 4th but the other parks are DEAD! there was literally no-one in Epcot last year when we went for the princess breakfast at the norwiegian (sp?) pavillion

We came out, went back to CBR, mucked about in the pool and went back to MK because we has PS of Tony's!!

But it is a pretty good plan!!!

P.S Animal Kingdom is INCREDIBLY hot if you are staying for the whole day. i would personally never do that, but that could be just me! :confused3
