Does anyone know if there are any restrictions on forwarding food across the border? I know from experience that my mother was NOT allowed to bring her banana from Canada to the U.S. as the agents on board the train stood beside her until she finished it prior to crossing the border ...

I'm sorry, I don't know a good answer for this. I do know that it is that way when you are physically crossing the border ~ but I don't know about if it is in a *care package*!!??
