My fastpass selection opens in a few days... do I need to be up at midnight?

MyDisneyExperience says I can make FP+ selections on Nov 28th, for my end of Jan trip. We're staying onsite.

If we want to book a couple FPs for Flight of Passage, do I need to do that right at midnight, or can it wait until morning?

How much competition is there likely to be for FPs at that time of year?

Flights of Wonder (bird show) or Avatar Flight of Passage?

Reportedly, Flights of Wonder is closing at the end of 2017.

Not sure where you live, but FP+ booking window opens up at 7am EST. If that translates to midnight where you are, then that's your call whether to jump in right at midnight, or wait another 6-7 hours.

I booked my FP+s about a week ago for our trip in mid-January. Had no problem getting FoP FP+s, but granted it was the last day of my trip, so 60+5 mark. Crowd predictors have that time of year to be fairly low compared to rest of the year, and I didn't have any problem booking any FP+s for the rest of my week.

Just saw that you typed Flights of Wonder instead of Flight of passage. Unsure as to FP+ for that show, as we didn't have that one our list...

And "Wonder" was a typo, as I meant the new Avatar ride.

We haven't seen any of the new stuff yet, so I want to make sure we can.

I meant Flight of PAssage. And I'm sad Wonder is closing, because we always enjoyed that show.

So much new and exciting, but also so much gone (the Great Movie Ride, and Ellen's Energy Adventure, also). It's a little tiny bit bittersweet.
