I totally do not feel bad for either one. They each have their own devices in this whole thing. For him, it's a "resurgance" of potential fame (although parading around like a moron on tv does not do much for one's career, methinks). For her, it's her face on tv and some sort of fame (if that's what you'd call it). Personally, I wouldn't want that kind of fame, but I suppose it's better than having to look for a job!
In the first season, she spent all her time trying to convince him to get engaged. She whined, she cajoled, she stomped and pouted. It was so annoying. They fought, he resisted and finally, was stupid enough to get engaged. I was screaming "DUMP HER!" at the tv!!!!! But, no, the idiots got engaged, although there were major problems from the get-go. This whole thing has been her crusade to get engaged and married. Personally, I think she should've been focusing on an "up and coming" rather than a "has been" star. And, she should've concentrated on finding someone who she was compatible with.
I've caught a few episodes from the 2nd season ... where they're looking for reception sites and he's all like "I can't do this" and she's like "You have to"! I mean, hello -- at what point is she going to realize that he's not into this!??! And, if the vasectomy episode isn't enough to convince her that it's all wrong, then nothing will.
But, she just wants the wedding, wants the attention on her and it's all been about her. She wants a wedding, not a husband. For crying out loud, you could replace Chris Knight w/a gorilla and she prob. wouldn't even notice!!!!
He says no kids ... my guess is she's knocked up in no time b/c he'll cave into her whining, pouting, cajoling and stomping around and give in. Then, he'll dump her and the kid.
This show is just sad. I think this Adrienne is just looking for some TV time and a wedding. Not a commitment, not a husband ... just a wedding. And, he's looking for a woman to have a "good time" with ... and nothing more. I truly don't believe they make each other happy and I think that, whoever married them, should've watched past episodes of the show ... I bet they wouldn't get a single person to marry them if that were done!
