We had a wonderful experience showing up at EPCOT around 8 pm. We were able to do everything at one window and then walk into the park to watch Illuminations. Next morning we were set to go without waiting in line. We redeemed our vouchers and then turned them in toward nine day passes (in my case an annual pass) all at the same window. The way we figured it, our family of nine paid only a little more than $20 total to be able to see Illuminations our first night (and ride Spaceship Earth) so it was worth it for us to buy the nine days instead of eight days. It made for a nice welcome to WDW to be able to walk in and do those things and not have to wait in a long line the next morning!
