Sorry you have to watch your daughter go through this. But so glad you have the DIS to vent out all of your *********** so you don' t let that side show thru to your daughter.

epcotfan, I know how you feel. I was *that* daughter too. My dad and I haven't talked in 14 years, 9 of which he's been dead though. Since I know how it felt when I was a kid, my heard truely breaks for my DD. My mom told me stories of how I'd be packed with my bag sitting by the door and my dad wouldn't show up. (He's done that to Kendra too!)

The way I see it, he can be a part of her life, or not. Not go back and forth between the two.

BTW, we've never called him in NC b/c he was supposedly leaving his wife and was supposed to call us when he got moved. (long story involving DD not being welcome at her step-mom's house anymore.) #$##@#@ !!!

Last week they were working on heros. Kendra put her "mom and dad" as her heros. I tried to smile through that one but it was tough.
