When I returned from WDW last Monday, the azalea bushes in front of my house were in full bloom. This seems to be an every other year event. Last spring there were very few flowers but this year... WOW!

The blossoms are so delicate. With any luck the flowers will stay with us for up to two weeks.

Even the Disney gardeners would be proud of these bushes.

W:bounce:W, Roberta! The blooms are just gorgeous! I especially love the close up shot.....

Doncha just love spring???? :D

Beautiful :)

Azaleas are temperamental shrubs. Our last summers drought and severe winter took it's toll on my azaleas this year. They are blooming but very sparsely.

Doncha just love spring?

Up here in MA I think Spring has been cancelled. :( Here it is May 25th and the current temperature is 49 degrees. It's cold, it's rainy, the wind is coming in right off the chilly Atlantic. It's just dreadful. Makes me want to move to Florida all the more!

Roberta: that azalea is beautiful. I found one buried under a camelia and overgrown vibernum when we moved into this house. I first moved it over a bit from where it was and it didn't do much. Then I moved it to my backyard between a couple of evergreens and it has been blooming like crazy for at least 2 weeks! Guess it likes where I put it.

BTW: your spring sounds a lot like Seattle spring!
