Okay I had/have a bit of a enigma that I am trying to solve, if someone could help me.
I booked a stay a few days ago, as well as waitlisted. So, I was checking my email to see if there were any updates, when I noticed that I didn't have any emails from DVC at all. No confirmation email. No Welcome Home. So, then I did a search, and I noticed I hadn't received any DVC dues automatic payment emails for some time.
This had me perplexed. So, I logged in, looked at the profile. Sure enough, my email was listed as my secondary email. I don't check this email very often. I typically use it for sales and spam and things like that. So, I log into my secondary email account, and yup, there were all the emails I hadn't gotten.....and sadly hadn't even noticed I hadn't gotten. Haha.
So, now I go into investigation mode. It looked like the last time DVC messages were hitting my email was back in January. And this starts the gears to turn. So, we were out in California at the end of January, early February. One day, I stopped by the DVC desk for some free swag. Ended up chatting with the gal, who offered a grand villa tour, which I was definitely interested in, but as we were only there for a short time, I wasn't sure when we were going to be able to fit into our plans. So, I let her know we'd probably have to play it by ear.
I really don't remember what information I gave her. Can't remember if I gave her my name or room number. I know I gave her my cell, and then I gave her my backup email.
Is it possible she would have changed my email in my DVC account? Or....even if unintentional, could she have plugged my email in to send me something, and that would have prompted the site to change my email?
If not, then this is a total mystery.
