MY DS11 SHOCKED during drug bust

I have to start by saying that we live in a quiet nice neighborhood EXCEPT for my neighbors. I knew for a fact that the family next door to me deals drugs. DH, DW, Brother, and sometimes Sister (when she's out of jail) and 2 kids live in this house. The neighbor across the street has also gotten involved with these people. Well about 1/2 hr ago my DS7 went outside to call my DS11 who was at his friends house which is the yard behind my garage. DS7 come in and tells me that there are cops all over the place next door. I go out and yep he's right. So I go to the back of the house to call and make sure DS11 is coming home. I yelled to him and he answered back. Well DS11 decides to use the short cut and come through neighbors yard (not knowing that anything was going on) and had 2 plain clothes cops at each corner of the back of the house shine their flashlights at him and someone is yelling put your hands up (happened to be yelling in the hosue ~ not at him). It was quite a shock for him and I guess will be a story to tell everyone. They did take the DW nextdoor and the DW from across the street away in cuffs.

I bet after seeing that he doesn't touch drugs, ever.

That's scary for a child his age to think that he might be in trouble for something and not knowing what it was for. I hope he doesn't have nightmares from it.

I thought when you said "shocked" that he got hit with one of those tasers. That would have hurt. I guess you can be glad he's okay...those drug busts can get violent and it would've been horrible if he had walked right in the middle of a shoot out

I'd give him a big hug and say, "see, that's why you don't get involved with drugs!"
