My DS is walking!

Yesterday, DS started walking!! Yay!! (I know, I know, I'll eat those words after a couple of days of chasing him around. ) He didn't crawl until 10 1/2 months, so I thought it would take him much longer to walk, but it didn't! He's 12 1/2 months. He's too funny....he tries to go much faster than he can go so he keeps falling over. It's just the cutest thing ever! That's a picture of him from yestserday in my signature.

Thanks for giving me hope, btw. My younger DS didn't start crawling until 9 months, so I keep thinking he'll be 18 like months before he wallks. Hopefully, he'll be like your DS

Annette: My DS has always loved to stand and once he learned to crawl and pull up he was the king of cruising. For the past couple of weeks he would let go and just stand there, clap his hands, bang his toys, etc. He started taking a couple of steps every now and then earlier in the week and last night he just decided to walk! I'm sure your DS will be walking in no time, too! BTW..DH and I just LOVE that pic of all your mickeys.

I'll give you hope too! My 4 yr old and 2 yr old both didn't crawl until they were 9 months. Well, they took their first steps at 11 months, were fully walking at 12 months and were running around at 13 months!!! So late crawlers aren't always late walkers. It'll be interesting to see if our youngest (who's 4 months now) follows in his big brothers footsteps. No pun intended.

That's great! I remember when there was a post letting us know that he had entered the world, and he's already walking! Time sure flies....enjoy every second.
