My dream hopefully to come true!

I am new here and I'm just looking around and this forum seems perfect for me. My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and 17 days (yes if you do the math, our anniversary is on April Fools ), and we are DEAD SET on a DW honeymoon. Sadly, we just don't have the money for a DW wedding.

We just can't wait to go there. I have been to DW 5 times in my life, but my boyfriend has never been (I know I know, he's soooo deprived). Disney World is just a magical place and I cry everytime I see a commercial for it because I want to be there so bad! Something truly touches my heart when it comes to all things Disney. And I know my boyfriend gets tired of just hearing me talk about the fast start of Rocking Roller Coaster, and you never know how many time Tower of Terror will drop you! I just want him to love this place as much as I do (which he's about to pee his pants to get there!!)

I'm entering in the My Coke Rewards contest right now to win a trip to DW for four. I want this so bad so that he and I can go with my parents to see what resort we'd like to honeymoon at, and all the stuff we want to do!! I pray everyday that I get this trip. For those of you who pray, please pray for us that we get to go on this trip! We love Disney!!

I don't want to speak for anyone here other than myself but I know when we got married years ago we saved for a year to afford a disney HM and are now saving for a VR for our 20th anniversary. good luck with your plans

I was in a different situation, yet the essence was the same: a dream, and an obstacle in my way.

Just keep believing that it will happen for you, and it will. It really will!

You may get a great surprise after taking him to Disney for the first time. I am also from Mississippi. Mississippi boys are great.

My fiance and I went to Disney for the first time about a year after we started dating. It was his first time and my 6th. He fell in love with it more than I am. He wanted to take the DVC tour so I agreed. 2 weeks after we got home he bought 160 pts and put them in my name. 6 months later we took our first trip back as DVC members. While there he decided that 160 pts was never going to be enough so he bought me another 110 points.

We leave to go back again in 2 weeks. Maybe your fiance will fall in love with Disney as much as mine did.

Oh yay! Mississippi people!

My boyfriend loves all things at DW. He just doesn't know it yet! He likes roller coasters, neat innovations, animals, fireworks, and most of all, spending time with me! I know he's gonna love it.

Thanks to everyone for such sweet and caring responses! I'm so glad I've found a place to share my love for all things Disney! Small children were the only people I could talk to.. Ok just kidding

In case you weren't aware, Disney offers a Honeymoon Registry (which is what we're doing) so that we don't have to go on a limited trip. I don't know, though, a lot of people think it's tacky (but I don't see how it's any worse than a traditional registry), but we know our guests, and know that it'd be fine. So if you don't need fine china, check it out.
