My dog was poisoned by my neighbor on purpose

Someone who has the ability to poison a defenseless animal is a bit crazy...soryy. Don't care what the reasons are. If the person had ijnured or killed the animal becaue it was attacking her, differemnt story. Poisoning takes thought and planning. If the animal or even the OP had been ignoring this person's pleas about something the pet was doing, then go to the authorities. Sorry...I agree. Poisoning a pet is crazy.
Were posts deleted? What did the OP post that made you say the woman is crazy? What details am I missing?:confused3:confused3:confused3

I agree- even if a dog is pooping in the neighbors yard you don't poison it. That is just really twisted. You just don't try to kill a family's pet.

T think everyone would agree that poisoning a pet is crazy. It is never justified.

That said.... the OP still, after several people have asked, hasn't shared how she KNOWS the crazy neighbor did this. Yes, she has threatened to do it, but many people shoot off at the mouth and make threats they have no intention of going through with. That is hardly proof. She also hasn't said why her neighbor has it out for the neighborhood dogs.

OP, I do hope your sweet dog pulls through and this is resolved. If this lady is guilty, I hope she is punished for her actions.

And why can I not post below what I quoted or even bold any parts of the quoted statement?

This is the first time I have been able to post below a quoted post since yesterday. :confused3

And you're right, we really have no idea what happened- just spouting off some opinions if things are as the OP stated.

I agree with you.

I'm just wondering how the OP knows the neighbor poisoned her dog.

About 5 years ago, a neighbor pulled me to the side and told me that another new neighbor was planning on poisoning a stray cat that had lived in our court for almost 8 years. All of us fed the cat and traded taking him to the vet and taking him in when it was cold but my DD had a particular fondness for him and the neighbor wanted me to know what was being planned. Apparently, the new neighbor was seeing scratch marks on the hood of her BMW and blamed it on the cat.

So I grabbed a carrier and the cat and drove 2 hours to my parents house and begged them to take him in. They did. Just a few months ago the cat passed away, but lived the last few years with lots of love and a wonderful home.

The day I took the cat to my parents, as I was pulling into my driveway late that night, I saw a family of racoons climbing off the hood of new neighbor's car.

I suppose since the other neighbor's dog was poisoned and died, maybe her dog has the same symptoms? I sure hope she comes back with some updates.

And honestly, I would probably beat "crazy neighbor" to a pulp I'd be so mad.

Not everyone loves animals (or even likes them). I know many people that would kill a dog or cat for continuously pooping in their yard. Sounds harsh, but it doesn't make them crazy.

To the OP - I hope that your Champy pulls through. If he does, keep him away from that neighbor's property...

It sure does make them crazy- speak with the owner- catch the animal and take it to the pound- call animal control- scoop up the poop and walk into the owners home at dinner time and sling it on the table- "This belongs to you." (an old lady did that in my dh's neighborhood when he was a kid- the legend of Mrs. Russell lives on) But you don't just KILL a domesticated animal.

I do agree with one thing though- keep your dog on your own property.

Um yea, on this planet that qualifies as crazy. Also I believe illegal.

You are actually comparing poisoning/killing a pet to speeding? :confused3

That's like comparing rape to speeding or murder to speeding. Pleez! :sad2:

No comparison from me. I simply pointed out what should be obvious to anyone - that breaking the law does not make one crazy... :rolleyes1

It isn't that she broke the law it is WHAT she did that makes her crazy, especially since she has done it at least TWICE.
