I have 2 Beagles.
Strong Willed was a phrase that was created for the hound dog!
Our female is a pain, but very loving. She is a snuggle. However, she eats poop, barks at everything, digs up and eats lawn grubs, still uses puppy pads (at age 7), and has an attitude problem. She would be a perfect only dog. She has snapped at our male dog, and they have gotten into more than one fight (Vet visit necessary) over food. Oh, and her breath is wicked bad too (read : eats poop).
Our male dog is wonderful! He is my dog version of a soul mate. However, he is a food addict and will do his best to get food from you. We cannot take him for walks because he pulls and is so strong, no harness we have tried (that he has allowed) has worked.
Both are overweight (they ARE hounds!!), but I wouldn't trade them for any other dog out there! I love them both.

We have a private pond front and she spent many days there in the summer swimming with all the neighborhood kids. She was also extremely frightened by thunder storms and it meant being up all night with her. And...she chased cars, oh how I hated that. Other than those few things, I don't remember any other things I just didn't love about her

Sometimes he cant hold it all day. And he is a very picky eater. He loves table scraps, if it is meat--no bread, no veggies
He sleeps with us, in a king size bed, and takes up 1/2. He also passes gas..Stinks up the whole house.. He also loves to "sing" in the car, along with the music...He howls the whole time..Sometimes i wonder how he doesnt loose his voice
